Now That I Am Saved, What Do I Do Next? What Is The Next Step In My New Walk With The Lord?

If there is one theme that you will see repeated over and over again in many of our articles is the extreme importance that each and every Christian turn their entire lives over to God the Father for Him to fully handle.

The Full Surrender

You have now just made Jesus your Savior. However, there is now one more big thing you must do. You must now make Jesus the Lord over your life. Jesus must now become both your Lord and Savior, not just your Savior.

You must now make the second biggest decision that you will ever make in this life. The first biggest decision is whether or not you will accept Jesus as your personal Savior through His sacrificial death on the cross.

Now that you have done that, you have become truly saved and born again.

However, you are now faced with the second biggest decision that you will ever make in this life. And that decision is – who is going to run the rest of your life from here on in – you or God?

As you will see in the Scripture verses I will list below, the Bible makes it very clear as to who should be guiding your steps in this life – and that Person is God the Father through the Holy Spirit!

This decision as to who will be running your life from here on in will determine the course your life will now take. If you decide to run your own life and call all of your own shots, then your life is going to take a completely different course as versus the one it would take if you would turn your entire life over to God the Father for Him to fully handle.

As you will see in some of the very powerful Scripture verses I will list below, the Bible specifically tells us that if we choose to follow our own way and path in this life – then that path will eventually lead to death. In other words, you will have forever wasted your one and only opportunity to find out exactly what you were created for, and what your true divine destiny was going to be in the Lord.

The Bible makes it very clear that good works will not get us into heaven.

We can only be saved by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross. However, once we are saved, God the Father expects us to do something with what time we still have left down here on this earth. He now wants all of us to come and “work” for Him.

The Bible tells us that God will be “rewarding” us for the good works that we will do for Him while living down here on this earth. Again, these good works cannot get us saved, but they can get us the bigger and better rewards once we enter into heaven.

Some of the verses I will list below specifically tell us that God will be rewarding us “according to our labors” for Him in this life. In other words, good works for the Lord will be highly rewarded once we cross over and enter into heaven.

However, there is one slight catch to all of this. If we choose to run our own lives instead of turning the reigns of our life over to God the Father, then we will not be embarking on the real path that God would like us to travel on – and any works that we end up doing while traveling on our own path will in no way be as highly rewarded as the works that are done operating in God’s perfect will for our lives.

This life is but for a moment, a blink of an eye compared to the eternal time frame that is operating up in heaven. We will spend the rest of eternity with God and Jesus once we enter into heaven.

So ask yourself – do you want to work for yourself and the small rewards that you can get down here that will all perish the minute you die and cross over – or do you want to work for God the Father, do His perfect will for your life, accomplish what He wants you to accomplish in this life, and then receive His full and final just rewards that will last forever once you enter into heaven?

The rewards that God will bestow upon you for faithfully working for Him down here on this earth will be heavenly rewards that will last you for all of eternity. All of the things that you try and accomplish on your own, out of your own flesh, will in no way be rewarded anywhere near to what they would have been had you been operating under God’s perfect will for your life.

So what does your natural, common sense and intelligence tell you would be the wisest decision as to who should be running your life? You – with your limited powers, limited intelligence, and limited strength – or God the Father, who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-perfect?

Since God is all-powerful and all-knowing, this means He knows much better than you do what you should be doing with your life, what mountains you should be seeking to climb, and what goals and aspirations you should be striving after in this life.

Since God’s knowledge is absolutely perfect on all matters – this means He will know you better than you could ever know yourself. He knows what your real strengths and weaknesses are better than you could ever know for yourself, since your knowledge is limited and imperfect – including what you think you know about yourself.

Only God knows what you were really created to be in this life.

Only God knows what you would really be best at. Only God knows what your true divine calling should be in this life.

Only God knows who you should marry and what jobs you should be taking in this life.

And since God is all-powerful and there is nothing that He cannot do or accomplish – then this means He can also anoint you with His divine power for whatever He will be calling you to do for Him in this life.

So not only do you get God’s perfect knowledge and wisdom guiding you in this life as to exactly what you should be striving for – but you will also have His divine power flowing through you so that you can be very good at the jobs and tasks that He will be calling you to do for Him.

But if you decide to choose your own way and call all of your own shots, then God will not be anointing you with His divine power or guiding you every step of your way – and you will then be forced to try and find your own way, all without any of God’s help, power, or guidance.

As a result, when it is all finally said and done, you will have become a failure in God since you will have chosen to travel down your own path rather than the path God already had set out for you long before you were even born through your mother’s womb!

Bottom line – you have to look at the real “big picture.” The real big picture is not only what happens in this life, but also what happens in the next life. The next life in heaven is nothing but a continuation of this life that we are living down here on this earth. But there is one main difference.

This life on earth is but for a very short period of time. The life we will be living up in heaven will be forever – with no more crossovers into any other realms.

We should thus be living this life for what will be recorded up in heaven – not for what will be recorded down here. Any trophies, medals, money, or material possessions that we might able to acquire down here will not be crossing over with us when we enter into heaven. There are only three things that will be crossing over with us when we enter into heaven:

  • Ourselves
  • Our saved family members and friends
  • And all of the good works that we will do for God operating under His perfect will for our life

Nothing else will be crossing over! That is why you have to look at the complete big picture, not just a small part of it, which is our earthly existence.

As you will see in the following Scripture verses, you have to become both saved and surrendered if you really want to enter into the real walk with the Lord. Christians are obviously saved, but many of them are not operating under this full surrender with the Lord.

As a result, they have married the wrong people and are thus living in miserable marriages or have gone through multiple divorces. They have chased after the wrong jobs in their life and thus have no real sense of fulfillment or accomplishment in their lives.

The only way that you can find what your true divine destiny is going to be in this life, who your true soul mate should be, and what you were really born to be in this life, is by entering into God the Father’s perfect will for your life.

There is absolutely no other way! The center of God’s perfect will for your life is the safest and most fulfilling realm that you will ever enter into in this life!

Stepping out into God’s perfect will for your life where He is now guiding and leading your life in the direction that He will want it go in is like stepping from the dugout out onto the real baseball field where the real action of life is really at.

Too many of God’s people are trying to play the game of life from the stands, and this is all because they are refusing to turn the reigns of their life over to Him for Him to fully handle.

Study the Scripture verses in this article very, very carefully. These verses are giving you major, and I mean major revelation from God the Father on the second most important decision that you will ever make in this life.

Who you will be choosing to run your life – you or God – will make or break what time you still have left down here on this earth.

You only have one shot, one opportunity, and one window in which to leave your mark in this world. Let God the Father, through the Holy Spirit, guide you into the most incredible realm you can imagine this side of heaven – the realm of God’s perfect will for your life!

I will break the Scripture verses down under the appropriate links below so you can fully grasp what God is trying to tell you in these very powerful verses.

I will then end this article by showing you how to enter into this full surrender with the Lord, and how to maintain it for the rest of your earthly life if you decide you want to do this with the Lord.

Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

These first set of verses will all hit the nail right on the head. The very first verse from Joshua is one of the most classic statements ever made on the full surrender that God is looking for from each one of us.

Joshua is a perfect example of someone who lived his entire life right in the Lord. He fully followed God all the days of his life and was completely successful in accomplishing all of the missions that God had set him out on.

Joshua is a powerful role model for all Christians to follow by the way that he lived his life for God. His story is a perfect example for all Christians on how to properly follow God and the call that He can place on your life. As a final testament to this man’s story, God saw fit to name one of the books of the Bible after him – “The Book of Joshua.”

In this first verse, Joshua says to choose this day whom you will serve. He says as far as he and his household are concerned, they will be serving the Lord.

Joshua knew that he had to make a choice on how to live his life – either by serving himself and his own wants and desires – or to fully serve God the Father.

As a result of making the correct decision as to who should be running his life, he became one of the most successful men in the Bible with everything that he accomplished for God.

He was the first one to lead the Israelites from the desert into the Promised Land to begin to conquer and gain possession of the specific lands that God wanted them to have.

Joshua ended his life making the statement that God had not failed to give him every ounce of land that his foot had stepped on. God was able to do this for him because he was willing to fully follow God every step of the way.

The second verse then goes one step further to explain that each person has to make this choice for themselves as to who they are going to serve and follow in this life.

This second verse specifically says that you cannot serve two masters – that you cannot try and serve both God and mammon.

The word “mammon” means wealth and riches.

Jesus Himself makes some very radical, intense statements on this issue. He says that those who are not with Him are against Him, and that He has not come to bring peace, but division!

He specifically states that He has come with a sword to set a man against his own father and a daughter against her own mother.

In other words, Jesus is drawing a major battle line in the sand. What He means by setting a son against his father or a daughter against her own mother is that each person must choose to serve and follow Him, and Him alone. And if you choose to serve and follow anyone else in this life – then you are going directly against Him.

God has to be #1 in your life. He will not accept a second or third position next to your family and friends.

Here are 10 very powerful verses all showing us that we are to only serve and follow the Lord in this life.

  • “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve … But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
  • No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)
  • If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.” (John 12:26)
  • Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29)
  • “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass … Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” (Psalm 37:4-7)
  • “But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand …” (Psalm 31:14)
  • He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” (Matthew 12:30)
  • “I came to send fire on the earth … Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.” (Luke 12:49)
  • Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.’ And ‘a man’s foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:34)
  • “… whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:33)

Notice that Jesus says that unless you are willing to take up your cross and follow Him – that you will not be worthy of Him! What does Jesus mean when He says to take up your cross?

What does the cross represent? What happened when Jesus went to the cross? He died a maximum death. The cross thus represents a maximum death for all of us.

When you enter into this full surrender with God the Father – you are putting everything in your life to a maximum death in reference to yourself, since God will now be the One to control the direction your life will now be taking.

You are putting to death all of your wants, all of your desires, and what you think you should be doing with your life since you have now turned the reigns of your life over to God the Father for Him to fully handle.

What did Jesus really do when He went to the cross that day to die for all of our sins?

He fully surrendered His entire being and His entire life over to God the Father in order to complete God’s perfect will for His life down here on this earth.

It was God’s perfect will that He go to the cross to die for all of us – and Jesus was willing to fully surrender every part of His being and every part of His earthly life to God the Father to complete that divine call.

This is why Jesus says in one of the above verses that unless you are willing to “forsake all” – you cannot truly become one of His disciples.

Forsaking all means that you are willing to fully surrender every aspect of your life over to God the Father and go with His perfect will and plan for your life rather than your own.

Notice the specific wording in some of the above verses, all showing that the only way to live this life is under a full and complete surrender with God the Father:

  • We will serve the Lord
  • Commit your way to the Lord
  • My times are in Your Hand
  • No one can serve two masters
  • If anyone serves Me – let him follow Me
  • We ought to obey God rather than men
  • He who is not with Me is against Me

All of the above verses are definitely showing us that the only way to truly “find” our life in this life is to fully commit to serving the Lord and going with His perfect will for what He wants to do with our life.

There is no other way in this life to find true, inner happiness and fulfillment other than living and operating in the center of God’s perfect will for your life.

And the only way this can be done is by completely surrendering every aspect of your being and every aspect of your life over to God the Father.

Doing The Will of God

These next set of verses will perfectly connect to all of the ones listed above.

Once you fully surrender every aspect of your being and life over God the Father for Him to fully handle – then the next thing God will do is to let you know exactly what it is He wants you to do for Him in this life. Your job now, after entering into this full surrender with Him, is to seek to do His specific will for your life.

When you really cut into this part of your walk with the Lord – what God is basically looking for from each one of us is that we take our lives one day at a time – and in each one of these days that we accomplish, to the best of our abilities, what He wants us to accomplish for that specific day. In other words, do what God wants you to do on a daily basis.

Do the best and be the best that you can at the jobs and tasks that God will be calling you to do for Him on a daily basis.

In these next set of verses, you will see specific words telling us that we must seek to do the will of God the Father and not our own will – and that we are to seek to finish the work that He has laid out before us.

  • “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)
  • Jesus said to them; “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” (John 4:34)
  • “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” (John 5:30)
  • “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight…” (Hebrews 13:20)
  • “… who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” (2 Timothy 1:8)
  • “… ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” (Acts 13:22)
  • ‘Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.’ (1 Samuel 2:35)

All of these verses are telling us, without any other possible interpretation, that we are to seek to do the will of God for our lives, and that we are to follow God, and God alone, as to what it is we should be striving after in this life.

The verse above from Acts 13:22 is God the Father talking about King David. King David was the greatest king that Israel has ever had.

Notice that God saw that David would be a man that would follow after “all” of His will – not just some or part of His will. This was one of the main keys as to why David became the greatest king that Israel has ever had.

Notice the verse from 2 Timothy 1:8 states that we have a “holy calling” from the Lord, but that this holy calling is for God’s purpose for our lives, not for our own purpose, which will now lead us right into the next topic.

God Has A Perfect Plan And Destiny For Your Life

Once you are willing to completely surrender your entire life over to the God the Father for Him to fully handle, then what will happen next is that God will be setting you up to follow the specific path that He will want you to follow in Him – and in that path will be your call, your purpose, your duties, and the tasks that you will now be seeking to accomplish for Him. God now has a set plan and a set future for your life.

One of the verses listed below states that “where there is no vision,” the people will perish.

What I believe this verse is trying to tell us is that unless you know what your purpose is in this life, what you created for, and what it is you should be striving after – then you will aimlessly wander throughout your entire life never accomplishing anything of any real worth, and never fulfilling the divine destiny to which God has called you.

Your life will “perish” right before your very eyes because you had never sought to do God’s perfect will for your life. You thus will have forever lost and wasted the one and only chance you had to do something of any consequence in this life with what little time you had to do it in.

Here are 5 very good verses showing us that we all have a holy calling from the Lord, and that our days have been “determined and fashioned” to do something specific for the Lord.

  • Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
  • “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” (Psalm 139:16)
  • Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.” (Job 14:5)
  • “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
  • For many are called, but few are chosen].” (Matthew 22:14)

Notice the verse from Psalm 139:16 is literally telling us that God knows exactly what He wants to do with our lives before we have even been formed in our mother’s womb! It says that before we have even been born, God already has our days “fashioned” out for us. The next verse from Job 14:5 says that all of our days are “determined” by the Lord.

These two powerful words – “determined and fashioned” – are both telling us that God has our entire lives perfectly planned out for us if we are willing to enter into His perfect will for our life.

But the last verse, where it is stating that many are called but few are chosen, is sadly telling us that most people will never enter into God’s perfect will for their lives.

I believe this verse is not talking about our salvation, but about our calls in God.

I believe this verse is showing us that God is “calling” many to come and work for Him, but most are turning Him down for various reasons. Most people would rather control their own destinies rather than turn the reigns of their life over to God the Father for Him to fully handle.

As a result, they will never find what their true divine destinies would have been in the Lord in this lifetime.

God Will Guide Your Steps in This Life

After coming into this full surrender with the Lord where He is now in full control of your life – two things will now start to occur. God will immediately place you on the path that He will want you to follow in Him. And on that path will be your call or calls, your jobs, and exactly what He will want you to do for Him for the rest of your earthly life.

The second thing that will occur is that God will then start to guide your steps so that you can get to where you need to go to so you can fully accomplish everything that He will want you to accomplish for Him.

If God is going to call you to be a great musician, a great Bible teacher, a great evangelist, a great doctor, or a great policeman – then He is also going to have to guide your steps so that you can make it to the tops of these types of mountains.

These calls will not fruit out overnight. You will have to work and sweat to make it into these types of calls or whatever it is God is calling you to do for Him. This is where the real adventure of life is really at – in the climbing to the tops of these types of mountains.

So not only do you get God’s best for your life as to what your divine destiny is going to be in Him – but you will also be getting God’s guidance on a daily basis so that you can reach these kinds of specific goals.

If God is going to call you to be a great evangelist, but does not guide your steps on a daily basis on how to get there, then you will never make it on your own. You can only get to the top of your personal mountain in your call with God only if God is anointing you and leading you to be able to climb that mountain.

Otherwise you will never make it on your own. Jesus specifically says that without Him we can do absolutely nothing.

Many people have decided, without consulting God first, what mountains and goals they should be striving after in this life.

They then might make it halfway up their mountain, but then all of a sudden it happens – everything breaks down and they fall completely back down to the bottom of the mountain, literally losing everything they had built up in climbing halfway up that mountain.

The Bible says that unless God builds the “house” of our lives – we will labor in vain trying to do it all on our own. There are many Christians who are now living defeated and broken lives as a result of broken dreams – all because they were trying to do it all on their own without any of God’s help, guidance, or power to get them there.

Again, study these next set of verses very, very carefully. These are major, foundational verses in which to ground on in your walk with the Lord. The first verse will specifically tell you that it is the job of the Holy Spirit Himself to guide your steps in this life.

The Bible tells us that the steps of a good man are “ordered” by the Lord, and that it is not in man to try and direct his own steps in this life. And that if he does try to direct his own steps in this life, that its way will eventually lead to death!

These are major power verses. Burn these major power verses into your memory bank. Get it settled once and for all in your mind and in your spirit that God will lead you and direct your steps in this life. This job now belongs to Him, and Him alone. This job does not belong to you, your best friends, or your parents!

  • “For as many are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)
  • The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord …” (Psalm 37:23)
  • O Lord, I know the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” (Jeremiah 10:23)
  • There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)
  • A man’s steps are of the Lord. How then can a man understand his own way?” (Proverbs 20:24)
  • A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
  • Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.” (Psalm 119:133)
  • Therefore be followers of God as dear children.” (Ephesians 5:1)
  • “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
  • “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5)
  • “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:1)
  • Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)
  • “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation …” (Psalm 25:4)
  • “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” (Psalm 32:8)
  • “Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.” (Psalm 27:11)
  • The Lord will guide you continually …” (Isaiah 58:11)
  • “For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.” (Psalm 48:14)
  • Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar, and by night with a pillar of fire, to give them light on the road which they should travel.” (Nehemiah 9:12)
  • All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way …” (Isaiah 53:6)
  • “Therefore you shall be careful to do as the Lord Your God has commanded you; You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.” (Deuteronomy 5:32)

Notice the last verse is telling us that once we embark on the path that God now has us set up on, that we are not to change course by attempting to turn to the right or to the left.

The Bible says that the road God will now place us on is a “straight” and narrow road. There is no turning back once you enter in on the path of God’s perfect will for your life.

In the second last verse, it specifically tells us that if we seek to go after our own way in this life, that we are looked upon by God as sheep that have gone astray.

All of these verses are extremely powerful. Notice the specific words that I will now number and bold for you, once again to hammer home the point that it is God’s job to fully guide your steps in this life.

  • Led by the Spirit of God
  • The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord
  • It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps
  • A way which seems right to a man … its end is the way of death
  • A man’s steps are of the Lord
  • The Lord directs his steps
  • Direct my steps by Your Word
  • Be followers of God as dear children
  • My sheep hear My voice … and they follow Me
  • He shall direct your paths
  • He leads me by still waters
  • He leads me in the paths of righteousness
  • Leads you by the way you should go
  • Lead me in your truth
  • I will guide you with My eye
  • Lead me in a smooth path
  • The Lord will guide you continually
  • He will be our guide even to death
  • Led them by day … to give them light on the road which they should travel

When you read all of these key phrases one after the other, there is no question that the only way for each and every Christian to live this earthly life is under a full and complete surrender with God the Father – with God leading your life every step of the way on a daily basis through the Holy Spirit. There is no other way in which to live this life. I do not think God the Father could have made it any more clearer than by the way that He has worded all of the above Scripture verses.

The Consequences of Not Fully Following God

One of the most dramatic examples of one group of people who followed God “fully” and another group who did not were the Israelites who were tested by God the Father in the desert after being rescued from the Egyptians in the story of Moses.

Near the beginning of the 40 year wilderness experience, they were all getting ready to go into the Promised Land to reap their big reward in God.

However, before they went in, they sent in twelve spies to see what their enemies looked like and what they would encounter once they crossed over to possess the land from some of these evil people. When the spies came back, ten of them came back with a bad report. They said the enemies were too big and that their kingdoms were too well fortified.

Mind you, the Israelites had just seen one of the greatest displays of God’s power that the world has ever seen when He threw 10 whopper plagues at the Pharaoh to set them free.

Yet, just as they were getting ready to cross over into their Promised Land, they started questioning and doubting that God could take these enemies out for them, even though God had just got done delivering them from an entire Egyptian nation several years earlier!

When God sees their lack of faith and belief in Him that He could conquer these lands for them, He threw up His hands and said that was going to be it.

He pronounced a severe judgment on them, telling them that all of the men 20 years of age and older would not enter into the Promised Land due to their lack of faith and belief in Him to be able to accomplish this mission for them, and because they had not “wholly followed God.”

However, God then states that He will allow Joshua, Caleb and all the men under 20 years of age to go in there to conquer and possess the land – all because they had a “different spirit” in them and because they would be willing to “follow God fully.”

This story is a perfect poster story for one group of people who were willing to follow God fully, and another group of people who were not. As a result, the one group that was willing to follow God fully got to go into the Promised Land, while the other group did not!

Those are the consequences of not having enough faith and belief in God the Father and not being willing to fully follow Him in this life.

I wonder how many Christians have missed out on entering into their Promised Land this side of heaven – all because they failed to fully follow God and take the path that He wanted them to take in this life!

Here are two very powerful Scripture verses describing the above scenario.

  • Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me, ‘except Caleb … and Joshua … for they have wholly followed the Lord.’ “So the Lord’s anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone.” (Numbers 32:11)
  • Then the Lord said: “I have pardoned, according to your word … because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it.But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.” (Numbers 14:20)

These two verses are giving all Christians major revelation on what God is looking for from each one of us. He is looking for those who will “follow Him fully.” Being willing to fully follow God means that you are willing to enter into this full surrender with Him where He will be the One who will fully guide your steps in this life – not you or anyone else.

Here are two more good verses showing the negative consequences of not being willing to fully follow God in this life.

  • “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who walk to go down to Egypt, and have not asked My advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and trust in the shadow of Egypt shall be your humiliation.” (Isaiah 30:1)
  • If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword;” for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 1:19)

All four of these verses are as clear as they can be. Choose God and His divine path for your life, and you will find true, inner happiness and fulfillment in this life. Choose your way or anyone else’s way – and you will reap absolutely nothing in this life as far as God is concerned when it is all finally said and done.

God Will Reward Those Who Will Fully Follow Him

For those who are willing to fully follow God in this life and operate in this full surrender with Him, there are some incredible blessings and rewards that God can bestow upon you – not only in this life, but also in the next life as well.

Here are 6 very good verses all stating that Jesus will be rewarding us for the good works that we are willing to do for Him while down here on this earth.

Again, these good works will not get us into heaven, as the Bible is very clear that it is only by grace through faith in Jesus that we can receive eternal salvation. But God and Jesus will be rewarding us to some degree for the works that we are willing to do for Them down here.

The Bible does not tell us exactly what these rewards will be – but if we are dealing with a God of maximum intensity, then you can bet your bottom dollar that these rewards are going to be something very special and will definitely surpass any rewards that we can receive down here on this earth.

Notice in 5 out of the 6 verses that it says that God and Jesus will be specifically rewarding us for our “works and labor” that we are willing to do for Them.

  • “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? For the Son of Man … will reward each according to his works.” (Matthew 16:26)
  • … and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” (1 Corinthians 3:8)
  • “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” (Revelation 22:12)
  • “… I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one according to your works.” (Revelation 2:23)
  • “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.” (Matthew 16:27)
  • “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit everlasting life.” (Matthew 19:29)

Depending on what God may call you to do for Him in this life – some may be forced to leave family, friends, cities, states, or possibly even their own countries.

If they receive this kind of extra heavy call from the Lord, notice the last verse says that God will be rewarding those who are willing to take on these types of extra-heavy calls with a hundredfold type reward and blessing.

Again, the Bible does not tell us what this hundredfold reward and blessing may be. But my guess is that it will be one, big, whopper, intense reward due to the extreme sacrifices these people will be making in order to accomplish the divine missions that God will send them out on.

Bottom line – any earthly wealth by way of money, possessions, and fame that is acquired by doing our own thing and calling all of our own shots in this life will all completely disappear the second we physically die and depart from this life. We will take absolutely nothing that we have earned, made, or acquired into the next life.

Jesus Himself could not have said it any better when He says in one of the above verses that what good will it do a man if he gains the whole world in the area of material wealth and possessions, but loses his own soul in the process of acquiring all of that wealth.

It will have all been for naught when that person comes to the end of his life, and he is forced to face up to his own mortality and comes to the full realization that all of the earthly wealth that he was able to acquire and accumulate will all die and perish right along side his physical body when he finally dies and leaves this world. None of that earthly wealth will be passing over with him into the next life.

Many wealthy people do not come to this revelation until they are literally on their deathbeds. They then all of a sudden “see” that they had their priorities all wrong in this life, and they had chased after all the wrong things in this life.

The Bible makes it very clear that if we choose to do our own thing and follow our own way in this life – that our way will eventually lead to death.

For those who are not Christians, it will mean the death of their souls by not making it into heaven. For those who are Christians, it will mean the loss of being able to receive some really big intense rewards from God once we enter into heaven to be with Him for all of eternity.

Everyone Will Face God For A Personal Judgment

These next 3 verses will show us that each and everyone of us will have to face the Lord for a personal judgment when we die and cross over. These verses will tell us that everything that we have done in this life, all the good with all of the bad, will come before the Lord for judgment and scrutiny.

There will not be one thing that will be hidden from Him, no matter how secret we may think it is this side of heaven.

The last verse I will list from Ecclesiastes states that “every work” that we have done will be brought before God for judgment. There are only two types of work that God will be judging – those that are done in the perfect will of God for our lives, and those that are done operating out of own wills.

Which works do you think will be the more highly rewarded and the more approved of by our Lord once we cross over to meet Him face to face – the works that were done in His name, for His sake, and in His perfect will for our lives – or the works that were done solely for ourselves and for our own self-gratification?

These next 3 verses are a very sobering reminder of what is going to happen to each and everyone of us when we die and cross over. This is why you must get all of your priorities set straight and live your life for what will be recorded up in heaven, not for what will perish down here the minute you die and cross over.

  • “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it is good or whether it is evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
  • And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
  • For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Knowing what all of these Scripture verses are trying to tell you – who do you want to live your life for?

Yourself and your own goals and aspirations, knowing full well that none of your fleshly accomplishments will be highly rewarded by God once you enter into heaven.

Or do you want to live for God and His call for your life – knowing that everything that you do for Him operating under His perfect will for your life will be very highly rewarded once you enter into heaven?

Each Christian must make their own personal choice on this matter. You must choose this day whom you will serve – yourself or God. There is no middle area or neutral grounds on this issue. This is an all-or-nothing proclamation being made by the Lord to each and every born-again believer. After you get saved, this will now become the biggest and most important decision that you will ever make in this life.

How to Enter Into a Full Surrender With the Lord

Before you really enter into this full surrender with the Lord, you really need to think about this and really chew on the ramifications that making this full surrender will entail. This will be the most life-altering decision that you will ever make in this life. If you turn your life over to the Lord for Him to completely handle – your life will take a completely different course as versus the one your life would take if you would decide to control your own destiny and call all of your own shots.

Once you make this full surrender with the Lord, there is no turning back, no matter what hell, life, or the devil may try and throw your way. You can obviously always bail out on God anytime you want to, as He will never force you to stay loyal to Him and fully serve Him. You are free to go anytime you want.

However, once you have the knowledge of what this full surrender is really all about, and then you decide to embark on this adventure with God, and you then you bail out on Him 10-20 years down the road – God is going to judge you much more severely when you die and cross over to face Him for your own personal judgment as versus another Christian who really did not have much knowledge on this part of the walk with Him.

To whom much is given, much more will be expected!

Jesus Himself has stated that you are better off never having known the truth than having known the truth, and then turning back to your old ways. Once you receive knowledge from God as to what He wants you to do with your life and how He wants you to handle it – then He will expect you to do something with that knowledge and implement it into your life.

The Bible says that faith without any type of works will be dead.

Even though God will always let you bail out on Him anytime you want to in your walk with Him, you must make this decision for yourself as to who you will choose to serve and follow in this life – yourself or God.

If you decide to fully serve God and fully surrender your entire life over to Him, then you must set your face like flint, draw your battle line in the sand, and march forward determined that you will stay true, loyal, and faithful to God for the rest of your earthly life – no matter what the cost – and no matter what life, hell, or the devil tries to throw your way to try and knock you off course.

This is a full surrender to the death!

That is why I say there is no turning back once you decide to make this decision to fully surrender your entire life to the Lord and follow His perfect will for your life. You will be held accountable for the knowledge that you now have about this part of your walk with God the Father.

If after really thinking and meditating on all of this, you decide that there is no other way to live your life, and that you truly want to enter into this full surrender with the Lord – it now becomes very easy to do. You do not have to get all worked up into any type of major prevailing or travailing.

This is simply a conscience decision that you will make with your own intellect operating out of your own free will with the Lord.

Here are two short, simple prayers getting straight to the point with God on this decision. The first prayer will be the one that you will do to make the initial full surrender with Him.

The second prayer will be the one that you should do at least once or twice a year for the rest of your life so you can let God know that you mean serious business with Him as to who should be running your life – and that you will continue to let Him have the reigns of your life to the day you literally die.

One last thing. When I say making a full surrender to God, I mean making a full and complete surrender. You can hold nothing back. Some Christians only surrender certain parts of their life to God, but not other parts. If you do not make a full and complete surrender of everything in your life to God the Father – then you will partially handcuff Him in being able to work full force in your life.

To make sure that you fully surrender everything over to the Lord, you must surrender 4 specific things over to Him. The apostle Paul says we have 3 parts to our beings – body, soul, and spirit. He then says we are to have all three parts of our being “completely sanctified” in the Lord.

The only way that can happen is if we are willing to completely surrender all three parts of our being to the Lord for Him to sanctify.

Here is the verse from Paul that is specifically telling us to do this:

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

In addition to these three parts of our being, God now wants one more thing from us – and that is our “entire life.” And when I say entire life, I mean everything in our life – past, present, and future.

Some Christians may surrender their job lives over to God, but not the choice as to who they should marry.

They then marry the wrong person as a result of making this decision all on their own, and as a result, they end up throwing a monkey wrench into the course that their life had been taking in the Lord, and they sometimes are completely knocked off the course that God had initially set them up on.

This is why the Bible tells us that God has to be the One to build the house that you are attempting to build in this life. One wrong move on your part could cause the whole house to completely unravel and fall apart. A chain is only as strong as each of the individual links are. One weak or broken link can cause the whole chain to completely unravel!

Marrying the wrong person or taking the wrong job could cause you to lose valuable years on the mountain you are attempting to climb in God due to having to deal with the serious consequences of making that wrong choice. This is why God has to be in total control over every area of your life – not just some or part of it.

In these two prayers, you will see I have you surrendering your body, your soul, your spirit, and your “entire life” over to God the Father.

When you tell God you are willing to surrender your entire life over to Him – He will take you very serious and assume that you literally mean everything and anything in your life – no holds barred!

Here are the two specific prayers. Obviously feel free to add any of your own personal words when making this commitment to Him. But the specific wording in these two prayers, if truly done from your heart, will break you into a realm with God that will completely change the course of your entire life.

1. Making the Initial Full Surrender

“Father,

In the name of Jesus, I am now willing to place my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into Your hands. I now ask that You place me into Your perfect will for my life. From this moment on, I will choose to stay fully surrendered to You all the days of my life, and will allow You to lead and direct my life in the direction that You will want it to go in.

Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.
Thank You Holy Spirit.”

2. To Stay in the Full Surrender

“Father,

In the name of Jesus, I continue to place my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into Your hands. I am choosing to stay fully surrendered to You all the days of my life, and I ask that You continue to keep me in Your perfect will for my life.

Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.
Thank You Holy Spirit.”

If you are willing to make this full surrender to the Lord, He will then start to take full control of your life and steer it in the direction that He will now want it to go in. You have now just stepped from the dugout out onto the real playing field of life – where God can now use you to complete His divine purpose for your life.

Conclusion

I will now leave you with three very profound verses from Scripture nicely summarizing the above argument as to why each and every Christian needs to commit to making this full surrender with the Lord.

The first one will be on the verse that unless God is the One to build the house of your life, then you will be laboring in vain with the house you are trying to build all on your own efforts and wisdom.

The second verse is from Jesus where He states that unless you build your house on Him, the Rock, then it will eventually fall completely apart as soon as any storm clouds start to come against it.

The third verse sums up this whole argument when God says that He is giving each person a real, big choice to make in this life.

They can either choose to receive true life by choosing to follow God and all of His ways for their lives – or they can choose a life of death and cursing by following their own ways, the ways of someone else, or the ways of this world.

The key words in this last verse is that you “cling to Him,” that you “obey His voice,” and that you “love the Lord your God.” Clinging to God means that you are walking very close with Him in this full surrender.

He leads, we follow – just like the sheep follow the shepherd. The Bible tells us that Jesus is our Shepherd and as such, it is our job to fully follow Him in this life.

These three verses perfectly capture the big picture as to what is really most important in this life and who we should really be living this life for. Here they are:

  • Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” (Psalm 127:1)
  • Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24)
  • … I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live, that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days …” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

When you put all of the Bible verses together on this subject as I have done in the above captions – I feel the evidence is absolutely overwhelming that God the Father wants this full and complete surrender from each and every one of us so that He is fully free to guide our lives in the directions that He will want to take them in.

However, I also feel that the Lord has conveyed to me that this decision is one of the hardest for many of His people to make.

There is something inside each one of us that wants to control our own destinies, call all of our own shots, decide who we are going to marry, and decide what goals and aspirations we should be striving for in this life.

This natural desire for independence inside of each one of us is actually good, as it helps to prevent us from falling into human and demonic slavery.

Our country is a perfect example of that spirit in operation when we gained our full independence. However, that same spirit has no place in our personal relationship with God.

The Bible specifically says that all men and all women have sinned and fall way short of the glory of God and that without Jesus, we can do absolutely nothing of any consequence. We are imperfect in every way, shape, and form. We are powerless within our own beings to accomplish anything of any real worth with the Lord.

Only God is all-powerful and all-knowing, and He is the only One who can anoint us with His divine power, and then guide us every step of the way to accomplish anything meaningful in this life before we die and cross over to be with Him for all eternity.

Many Christians feel that if they make this full surrender with the Lord, that they will lose all of their freedom and independence – even if it is God Almighty Himself they are serving. However, the Bible tells us that there is liberty and freedom where the Spirit of the Lord is at.

In other words, you will have much more freedom, liberty, and independence by serving and following God than you would if you serve yourself or someone else.

The apostle Paul could not have said it any better when he says that he is a servant to all – but a slave to none! Here are two very good verses from the apostle Paul giving us this powerful piece of revelation:

  1. For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more.” (1 Corinthians 9:19)
  2. “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. Brethren, let each one remain with God in that calling in which he was called.” (1 Corinthians 7:23)

The way Paul has this last verse worded – you are a slave if you are not serving God and operating in the specific call that He has set up for your life.

By being willing to fully surrender your entire life to the Lord – not only will you find what you were created to be and exactly what your true, divine destiny is going to be in this life – but you will also find a new sense of freedom and liberty that you never knew could exist in a world where many people are constantly trying to control one another to one degree or another.

God highly respects your free will and He will work very closely with you as He starts to guide your steps on an everyday basis. You can totally trust Him to perfectly handle you and your life.

The choice is now yours for those of you who have not made this full surrender with the Lord. You must now choose this day whom you will serve. You cannot try to live in both of these realms.

Per the articles I did titled The Unjust Steward – many of God’s people have been straddling the fence post with God on this issue for a long time and as a result, they have been living in a lot of torment and turmoil over a good course of their life, never finding that true peace that passes all understanding.

This true peace can only be found in the center of God’s perfect will for your life – and the only way to enter into that bubble is by being willing to surrender your body, your soul, your spirit, and your entire life into the hands of God the Father. There is no other way!

As I said at the top of this article, this decision as to who you will follow and serve in this life will be the most important, life-altering decision that you will ever make in this life after you have become saved and born again. God has made it as clear as He possibly could in the way that He has worded all of the above Scripture verses.

No matter what age you are, it is never too late to come into this full surrender with God. Look at what happened in the story of Moses. He was 80 years old when God called him out to rescue the Jewish people.

This one man helped to change the entire course of Jewish history because He was willing to enter into God’s perfect will and plan for his life and follow it all the way through until the mission was fully accomplished – and this was all done over the last 40 years of his life, from the age of 80 till the age of 120.

If you have been running your own life over all of these years with no real fruit, with no real sense of accomplishment or worth – try giving the Lord a chance. He may just blow you away with what He may have in store for you if you are willing to come into this full surrender with Him.

  1. God bless you for writing this article! It put into words things that I “sort of” knew and drove them home for me. I feel that the combined wisdom and words of God will cause me to stay surrendered on a daily basis.
    THANK YOU

  2. I’ll start by saying this was a very good article. The only exception I take with it, is where is the grace? I see alot of condemnation for those of us who have not surrendered fully to God, one example is when you marry the wrong person. I did, and it’s been torment from the “get go.” However I can still surrender be forgiven and still have God’s best for my life. How you might ask? doesnt God say he is a God of new beginings? Also he says if we ask for forgiveness he is just to forgive and remember our sins no more.

I have been researching total surrender, and I want to assure all those who have made bad bad bad mistakes with their choices and not surrendered all to God, it’s not over. God can take your life and turn it around. You may be married to the wrong man, have the wrong job and just completely destroyed your life. But with God all things are possible. You give youre life to God today, surrender to him by telling him and then by getting into the word each day and find out how he wants you to live and you will still see God so turn your life around you will be completly blown away. God is a God of Grace and forgiveness he loves you and will not forsake you. Turn to him give him your life and he will use you. I know I’m surrendering my life to him, bad marriage bad decisions and all and I know he’ll take me just like I am and use me right where I’m at. I am so sure of it I take him at his WORD. Read it for yourself and see. I DARE YOU. God Bless all of you He’s a mighty God to serve…..

    1. Yes, God can still always start over again no matter how many mistakes you make in this life. The reason the full surrender is so important is so you do not make the wrong choices in your life. But if you do, God can stiilll forgive you and start all over again no matter what kind of predicament you may find yourself in.

    2. Thank you Renee. I really needed to read that. i have been struggling because of REALLY REALLY bad choices I have made in my life. I have worried so much because I thought that maybe i have had all the chances that God is going to give me and that i have messed up so many good opportunities. I am a single mom in bankruptcy court. I work for my family but i still struggle. My father, whom i work for doesn’t respect women and i am treated so much more differently than my other two brothers. Both my brothers and I made bad decisions but they stopped living that lifestyle before i did. I am still treated like the outcast and i don’t know what i should do. I don’t make a whole bunch of money and kinda just get by while my brothers are very financially stable. My father brags on them to others in the front of me and hardly acknoleges me at all at work.I have been struggling with wanting to be like my brothers but not knowing if i will ever be allowed to have that chance again. Last year i got saved and gave my life to Christ. God picked me up and carried me out of a living hell I know i could have NEVER done that on my own and I am grateful for that every day. I know that i have a wonderful testimony that could help a lot of other women who are lost and have no hope. I had been feeling that maybe I was given all of the chances I was going to get for happiness and a family of my own but now I have more hope and feel like God was speaking through your words to let me know that its not over for me. That He is here with me, and that all i have to do is just surrender ALL of my life to Him and trust in what He has for me. I just said the prayer of surrender and I am seeking His direction. I definitely want to be blown away and know now that He has not given up on my life and it will be redeemed for His glory. I know that He will guide me in the right direction. Thank you so much!

      1. Prayers for you Cherrie to succeed as you move forward and for your struggles with your family to have a light shown on them and your father and brothers will come to Christ through your actions in your obedience in surrendering over completely to God. Giving your life to Christ doesn’t ever mean your life gets easier. It means you know where you will spend eternity and if you completely surrender yourself it means God is the pilot and you are the co-pilot. I’m excited right now. I pray the Holy Spirit leads me with confidence through this phase of my life. Thank you Jesus!

    3. @Renee,
Hi, I like and appreciate your comment. Thank you. I don’t feel the article is condemning those of us (myself included) who haven’t fully surrendered. I feel it’s just pointing us to what a better life we would have if we did do a full surrender. I pray I will surrender my life to God. Again, thank you for such words of encouragement. Yes, God is mighty.

  3. Perfect timing. I was just asked when did i take this turning point of my life to turn to God, I was silenced the time she asked that but then I answered back. But I really can’t remember or sort it somehow why did I? Yet, I still feel incomplete and in pain knowing though I have received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, what I didn’t know is a full-complete-surrender to God. This article helps me a lot thank you for posting.

    God bless you.

  5. After reading the article i was inspired to fully surrender my life.
A few questions i have about giving my whole life to God:
How will i know what i am to do with my life? as of now i dont make plans for the future but i have had ideas of what i like. currently a focus of mine God willing is to beat a track record at my school. would it be wrong to still go for it? Then in the article it mentioned doing Gods will and not my own. iv wanted to do this for 3 years i always try to pray for guidence in my life because i know he will guide me. when i think of it i am confused about if it is his will for me or still just my own.
I do not want to live for my self and others i want my life to be for God to lead i hope to figure out what Gods plans are for my life. i will be thinking of this topic very much, until my decision is made because when i make my decision i want to be fully committed without failure and for myself and anyone who wants to fully surrender to God our savior i know we can do it without failure. Philippians 4:13 For i can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. i know when the time comes i can change with no failure if i endure everything with God by my side. I know any person can if they wanted to change.Pray for me guys i will need it. Much love to all my brothers and sisters out there. God Bless.. and thanks for the article.

  6. i was searching out this topic because God spoke to my spirit and said”total surrender”. i wasnt sure what He meant. i love Him and i try my best to follow His commandments and walk in love but until i read this article and other posts, i wasnt enlightened. i know now that He means He wants every area of my life, even that part that i dont want to bother Him with because i feel like its so small. He wants every part of me. He cares about what i care about. He loves all of us the same. i used to get caught up in praying that God would bless others and see about them more than me because i knew i was alright because i had Him. but thats not what He wants. He wants me to pray for those people but also to not forget about myself. its nothing wrong with praying for ourselves. we just cant stay focused there. i thank you so much for this article. it helped more than you know.

  7. I surrendered my life to the Lord this month. My question is when you do sinful acts of your past(and believe me it bothers my soul) how does God forgive you? I arrived at work this morning and started listening to praise and worship songs and God is still speaking to me and directing me to scriptures to get me back on the right path. He is my bestfriend, he’s everything to me and just to know that despite of what i did he’s still here makes me want to go harder in the word and with Him.

  8. When I was reading this article I was so blessed, encouraged and inspired to fully surrender my body, soul, spirit and my whole life to Him alone for Him to handle it fully.I know that God`s thoughts for me are precious and very good ,It is good some one who is grater ,powerful ,reach, compassion and who is above all the creatures to lead me take me to the place of blessing and take care of me ;How good is to place all my cares to Him who loves me and be a father greater than the earthly father .So today as I try to take decision to fully surrender my life to Him I need prayer and encouragement ,I prayed for the past three years God to bless me and guide me and also transform my life to the way He wants me to,but i have not yet seen any change in my life .I have no peace I have no Job and still crying to God to make me a person who stand for His glory and not for my own .Beloved brothers and sisters please stand in agreement with me in prayer God to lead me accept me as I pray to lead me to fully surrender my life in Him ,and at last i would like to take this opportunity to thank to those who wrote this article (message)to bless others and to teach every one who read this and take the right way for His life .God bless you all In Jesus name .

  9. May the good Lord bless you abundantly for introducing me to a peaceful and joyous way of leaving through God the almighty Fathers guidance.

Glory be to God and all powers and praise to the Father , the Son and the Holy spirit.

    Amen to all.

    Atocon.

  10. Thank you for directing us to the Living Word. I prayed for each one to stay committed to our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God, He is working one step at a time, even when thoughts, prayers, body, others betray us,He is stiil faithful to do a good work in us!

  11. There is no other way. He knows our needs if we walk with Him fully surrendered. Many thanks for the great insights. I am a witness to this discourse and His responses to prayers of faith.Levi

  12. I have a desire to serve the lord.I have been praying and asking god to teach me how to surrender my all to him.He has answered my prayer!God bless all!

  13. I’m totally inspired by the article, i have been searching all of this question in my life, after reading the article its give me a clearer vision and perspective in life. I would totally believe, its not by coincidence that iv ready this and that would change my life gradually each day. as its says her taking things on a daily basis, Surrender means greater dreams is waiting for as, as we complete trust with the LORD.

  14. I give God the glory for this teaching on how to surrender your life to Him.Ive wanted to do this for years but didn’t know how to.But the God who gives us the desire of our hearts did it again.Thank You God and thank you for this teaching in Jesus name.

  15. It’s good to know that God is who he is and he’s a great father loving you all the time never leaving you alone. I like what God is doing in my life and there’s nothing wrong with his guidance.

  16. Before I read the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” article, I was very curious, and afraid of what would happen when I asked for it. I also did not know how to get it or what words to say. After reading that article and being lead to this one, I have a greater understanding of who God is, and how he wants only happiness, righteousness, and joy for his children. I got Baptized yesterday, and I feel amazing. I am so happy I didn’t hesitate when the opportunity was given to me. I am now going to ask God to take the reigns of my ENTIRE life because I don’t want to return to the lost, lonely, and sad person that i laid to rest yesterday. I’m happy to be born again. I thank God for blessing you to write these articles, because they were a blessing to me!!! Keep it up.

I thank God for you. I also pray he continues to bless you, Amen.

  17. I really appreciate the prayerfulness, thought and biblical knowledge that went into preparing this article. It has been helpful for me as I consider what the remaining years of my life might look like. I have prayed your suggested Prayer of Full Surrender and look forward to setting out on the path that is God’s perfect will for me. Until now I have deviated from it, ignored it, mistakenly believed I was on it, and even believed I could get to the same destination via an alternate route. Having made some poor choices and been set back and side tracked, I am ready to let God have His way with me.

I am a little confused however by your references to maximum intensity rewards in Heaven for this full surrender. I am not motivated by rewards in the next life but rather by a search for peace in this life, having tried to do things my own way and ending up abandoned and despairing. God has been gracious with me though and has brought blessings from my poor choices (not the least of which is the child that came from a marriage that ended in divorce).
Thank you for preparing this message so clearly and compellingly. Blessings to you.

    Sweet will of God

My stubborn will at last hath yielded
I would be thine and thine alone
And this, the prayer, my lips are bringing
Lord let in me thy will be done.

    Sweet will of God
    still hold me closer
til I am wholly lost in thee

    1. Scripture states he has prwpared many mansions for his beloved.your obedience here has eternal cosequences.its to say that what you do affects a latter portion of your life the quality of your heavenly experience.that is to say you are in a designed position as cocreator and cooperative agent working in unison on what is to come by your creative efforts now.god makes you accountable not by threatening you if you disobey but with loving grace to bestow. Favor of riches in the divine abode that we are gifted with for our operative faith.our response ability is shown appreciation by god.grace fully abounds in every detailed assistance to establish his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven unified end to end with no end

    2. @Ally, i too have prayed the prayer of full surrender to GOD…i had thought i was on it, i think i have ignored it too…i havent produced much fruit and i too have been asserting my will and not complete surrender. I know I can do nothing on my own and i have wasted many years of my life with alot of hurt and pain. After i.prayed the prayer of full aurrender i was just sitting here wanting to immmediately hear his voice. Its hard for me to.put into words stimes but upon reading testimomies and bein more in Gods word i realized i dnt know or have the true joy and peace and I know its only a gift that can come from a true heartfelt repentence to God. Bc i dnt know what to do right now I wait on the Lord

  18. This article and all the other articles that go with this one seem to be excellent as far as I’m concerned. They are all very well articulated, w/step by step instructions (something I always make sure to ask for when praying to learn something new), very easy to understand and all the prayers that’s needed are included – Thank You very much!!!

I was involved in a deliverance that took 3-days. All the demons were cast out but one and we couldn’t figure out why. This last demon was nasty, spoke horrible things, it mocked us and God, I couldn’t wait for it to leave this poor girl. The person leading the deliverance had decernment, which is something much needed in a deliverance. She asked God what to do to cast out this last demon, God led her to break generational curses (Dueteronomy 28) from her and that’s what we did. As we were breaking the generational curses, the demon was actually crying because it knew we were breaking all it’s legal rights to hold onto her and it had to leave. This is a good example of why breaking legal rights is so important.

Again, Thank You for putting together this very important subject, I thank God for answering my prayers.

    I am so appreciate

  19. I am at a loss for words right now…God is amazing to say the least! It’s so funny how we think we have Him all figured out, we know what He looks like, what He feels like, what He sounds like and all that and then BOOM! He puts us right back on our knees or on our face to behold Him once again, because we realize that what we’ve seen just isn’t it! Praise God that He’s bigger than the itty-bitty boxes we put Him in. This is encouraging as I am at a place where the Lord is turned upside down, everything I thought I knew and strangely I am a place where I am finally accepting it and not running away. I’m facing my fears with His grace and it really is like falling in love all over again. I’m young and single, but I feel like God and I are dating. He is drawing up all my attention and I love it! This article was a blessing to stumble upon… May God keep us all in the center of His Holy will. >

  20. This isn’t for teenagers. Don’t read this if you are struggling with life, read this if your done struggling.

    1. This is most definitely for anyone of any age. God will take a teenagers struggles and turn them completely around for that teenager to see His glorious works. We’re talking about God here, the creator of the Universe and He can and will work your struggles out regardless of your age and show you His love and grace through it all. Billy Graham was 16 when he was called to surrender his life over to God. Phewy! Look at the great works he did for God in his lifetime. Unbelievable, and now he sits with the Saints in the land of Glory.

  21. After 42 years of only getting half way up the mountain and falling down; it’s TIME. Fantastic article – it spoke right to me.

  22. I’ve read this several times, and I realised I did this, not with your words, but this was my offering. My whole life, I have been terrified of God. Sometimes, I thought He loved me… because He created me, but He didn’t like me. Sometimes, I thought He hated me…because I always messed up. Sometimes, I thought I hated Him… but all I ever wanted was the God who LOVED. Not the God who took from you all you loved because you loved something or someone instead of Him. Not the God who punished you if you didn’t do everything right. Not the God who let bad things happen to you because you did something wrong. Not the God who gave up on you because you couldn’t please Him.

I found Him. Severe mercy, complete emptiness, not knowing even what truth was anymore… I challenged Him to SHOW HIMSELF… AND HE DID.

He is love, Truth, Sovereign, Just, Holy, Friend, Fater & even Daddy when I need one. He is Comfort, Helper, Shield, Passion, Light, & Lord. I gave Him all of me… and it HURT!

And it blessed, and it healed, and it is continuing. I am being sanctified… and that was a scary word… until I read your article and realized what was happening. I am me, but becoming fully the woman, the princess, the pearl, the warrior that I am… and am not yet.

He created me BECAUSE He loves me. Im not perfect in my walk. I have improvements. He accepts my challenges to show me Truth… and He is gracious. He shows me His displeasure and at first I was scared, but the Holy Spirit will also give me a sense of Love that let’s me know its for my good, not harm.

I fear not hearing the Holy Spirit… I don’t get subtle … not from humans, and not from God…because I don’t want to make mistakes, attribute something to Him that isn’t from Him, or let my mind see displeasure where there isn’t.

My life has been hell on earth, but now it is peace inside. I have areas to heal still, but I am free from the chains that bound me for decades.

Isaiah 52:1-2 . Isaiah 43:1-2. And so many verses from Isaiah & John showed me God, Jesus, my Father, & the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for your work, your witness. Some of your articles scare me, but peace settles in and on me. Some haven’t become part of my arsenal, but I pray about them.

    Thank you.

  23. Wonderful Biblical insight…would make a good (audible) sermon. Fully selling out is a must for the consistent guidance of the Holy Spirit.

  24. Not just this article but your whole website is absolutely amazing.
I was led to this site by the one and only God, and I am now studying the Bible and taking an extreme interest in learning more about the scriptures.
I was baptized in June and I have just recently fully surrendered to the Lord. My life before I found God was complete madness. I hurt myself, other people and was addicted to drugs and alcohol. The dark side had a grip on me. It wasn’t until I almost lost my life that I was ready to commit myself to being a better person. I hated the evil that was living inside me and I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. There was a reason that I was guided to this web site because you know how to clarify things and word everything in a way that’s very understandable.
God bless you and everyone that is taking the steps to live and be a good person.

  25. I enjoyed your article. It was enriching and gave me a fresh insight.
Please why are some words in blue color crossed with line?

    Thanks

    Dozie

  26. Today I surrendered my entire life to god. I lay in my bed thinking about all aspects of my life and the paths I have chosen . In reflecting I realized these paths were my choice not gods choice. I took the easy way out , I lacked TOTAL faith and TOTAL belief. I relied on my own will as truth and found no integrity or truth. The only thing I found was total despair , death and unhappines. Oh I prayed but I did not pray with total faith or understanding. One day I looked at my children I was able to see in their eyes and hearts the same despair and helplessness. I created this reality for my children. There little souls were being tormented by my selfishness, ego and lack of knowledge. I asked god to first open my eyes and he sent a light of truth. I had to see ME, I had to accept Me, I had to FORGIVE all aspects of my being before I was worthy to Surrender my entire life to god. I had to learn who and what I have become to even think about healing. I have many things to learn and I feel like a newborn with a clean slate ready eager and patient. Knowing with all faith, trust and hope that my path is with GOD he is the pilot and I’m am the loving faithful passenger ready and eagerly enjoying the ride. I have experienced my way and it wasn’t working for me. I married the wrong man. With love and gods direction this wrong will be made right. I’m thankful for any experience that brings me closer to god and yielded four amazing gifts from god my children. It is these innocent little souls that have inspired me to accept and surrender my entire life to GOD and I have never been more ready and hopeful in my entire life. God bless you all for having even the tiniest of faith because god has heard your call as he did mine.

  27. Christian blogs are not inspired by God
I can’t agree with any of this
Salvation is not based on anything we do for God but what God did for us
He sent his son – that son paid for my sins
As for God running our lives – um I don’t care how many bible verses you use it’s not true
God doesn’t manipulate our every step – we aren’t remote control people

I’m in a suppport group recovering from spiritual and emotional abuse

This blog – is opininated !!!!

  28. Hello sister Kathryn, I must encourage you to re-read this article. No where does it imply works-based salvation. As for your admonition against the Holy Scriptures used in the article, I would encourage you to ask if they were applied incorrectly, and if so why? The Word of God is pure, and all Scripture is God-breathed. If we cannot rely on the Holy Bible to tell warn us and tell us truth, then we are all hopelessly lost.

Once saved always saved, sinner’s prayer-type teaching is damnable heresy that must be fought against, read Jude if you do not believe me. Perhaps God’s Word will speak. There are more references to Jesus being Lord in the New Testament than Savior. By quite a large margin. True saving faith in Jesus Christ will see you yielding to Him as Lord. Of course He saves us first. I actually thought this article didn’t quite take it far enough.

    1. Homer: Sorry to inform you, but Once Saved, Always Saved is sound Bible Doctrine. Sadly, you need to rightly divide your Bible and show yourself approved. I will pray that you do. In Christ, Michael.

  29. Hi.

I have been a Christian for years. Last year I surrenderred my life to Christ. Recently, for about 8 months now, I have been struggling with the concept of letting God run my world. How far does that extend. These days, I don’t trust myself for anything, and second guess everything I do. You could say my self-confidence is gone, as well as my self-reliance, and trust in my instincts…from here, I think you can imagine where that puts me. I’m not sure if this is the Lord challenging me, a once very driven Type A individual, or me confused, and taking these concepts in strange paths. Either way, the world now is proving a daunting place. So where, I ask does trust in the Lord translate, into confidence and one’s abilities, and one’s feelings of right in using them, or the need to suppress them(?). How does one live with trusting in God for everything…when he is suspiciously quiet, and trusting yourself enough to get through the day, without being up half the night, second guessing every little move. If and I quote..
.”Trust in the Lord in all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding…” how does that equate with the concepts of perseverence needed to get through life, and daring to dream. Especially when you give God control. How can one do both, dream and follow him? Should one do both? In what way.

    Especially confused,
    Jenny

  30. Hello sister Jenny, I would guess that you are in the same boat as myself for the better part of the past year. Constantly struggling with my own performance and whether or not it is God working or was I starting to try and justify myself by my works. Sleepless nights. Scary thoughts. Wondering if I made one mistake was God going to stop listening and ignore me. It took a lot of patience. Which you said you are a driven Type A personality. Patience in my opinion is very tough. I wanted to be this perfect vessel for the Lord to use right out of the gate. I had no discernment. Believed what a lot of people on the internet said because of lack of discernment. The best advice I can give is look at what the doctrine of sanctification is, its spiritual growth, it is growing in holiness, it is sometimes making mistakes, repenting, learning, if you are humble God is always going to work with you and be willing to teach you like a gentle Father. Spend time in the Holy Bible every day. Surround yourself with brothers and sisters who will love you and disciple you. Make sure they are truly on fire for Jesus. Let God’s word and His Spirit sanctify you. Allow yourself to be the clay and the LORD to be the potter. He created you special. You have gifts that He gave you, and He just wants to take away the bad and replace it with His goodness. Remember God’s grace. Remember to always be thankful. Remember to have prayer time with Him every day. And whatever plans He has for you, just trust Him. God Bless you!

  31. I Fully Surrender My Entire Life

Thanks for the these teachings. I joined the church on this song I Surrender…not knowing what it fully ment. I was in church and heard God said…will you be my vessel? That went right through me. It sent me to do some research of vessel, I came upon your site only to find out the whole truth of Fully Surrendering My Entire Life to God. I read this article with simplicity and understanding. I know that God Is Me and wants to use me willingly. Thank you, To God Be the glory.

  32. There is nothing here about repentance nor forgiveness in order to reconcile our past in order to resolves those we might have hurt as He came to reconcile humanity back to Himself through Christ. I only know that I surrendered and literally Experienced His Forgiveness through willingness to Let Go of self, which included anything I thought I knew about anything. Literally the words came out of my mouth, “Daddy”..but had not read much if any of the bible up to this point in time. It was completely natural, like a flower turns and opens to the rising sun, knowing nothing. Exactly what I am to do now at this point is not in any way specific, but His yolk is easy and His burden is light. Surely, he has such great patience to guide, Trust the Process and work out your salvation with fear and trembling (reverential awe and respect) on a daily basis, one day at a time. This is the way of a repentant heart and humility in order to come to Understand Him. Feat of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge. The knowledge of the Lord is wisdom and with wisdom is understanding. Peace I leave with you, My Peace I leave; not as the world gives but as I do. Let not your hearts be troubled nor let them be afraid.

  33. what can you do when you have arrogant parents who believe that they are holier and more Christian than you? what can you do when they think you are wrong and want to play the scapegoat game?
    howdo you reach these people?
they do even seem to be parents anymore?
they are deeply mistaken and blinded.
    pray for them Lord.

  34. I was saved the grace of God when I was 19 and pregnant with my first child. I didn’t then or since allow God to fully have control of my life. I have learned over the last few days that I cannot do anything without God 100% in my life. I have suffered from depression (mild) for years now due to all of my failures of my past. This curse has filtered into my teenage son. He is angry with me and blames me for all of the problems in his life. He does not like his little sister due to who her daddy is and the abuse he caused. He is in a youth group at our church. He has ended up friending so of the kids at school but they are not good for him. I am not judging but I know some of them are giving him advice that he does not need. He has been blessed with a big heart and people take advantage of him. He also has said some things to make people uncomfortable.
Due to this I have been humbled and found this article. I had been asking people for several days how do I give this completely to God and just sit back and watch. God has opened up my heart and humbled me. I have not been a patient person and could be angered easily. Now my heart is open and I know thru God I am going to be the Godly woman he has called me to be. Thank you for this article.

  35. Now I am really confused to my own understanding. This Surrender stuff has me a bit perplexed. Its ok thou.

One thing I am learning about the Bible all the time and having to come to the internet instead of going to church is you get a lot of view’s about Christianity.

Now I don’t believe in Full Surrender or total surrender but I believe in being Born again and summiting yourself to God, believing on the Son of God that Jesus Rose from the dead and is Sitting with the father and that he is an advocate to us.

I believe in the simple ” Let Go and Let God”. If God controls your life than that’s good. If you’ve asked God to come into your heart that’s even better.

Now you all correct me if I am wrong, and I’m sure I am as God’s infinite Wisdom is more than man’s wisdom.

I would like to give you a few examples and please like I said correct me if I am wrong..

King Soloman, there was a faithful man, did he have full surrender? What about Paul when he said I die daily? What about some of the other examples in the bible?

Now don’t get me wrong I just saying that God is the answer and living for him is good but what is good? Jesus said why call me thou Good Master? Well Jesus was God but he said there is only one that is the Father in heaven or was that sort of a play on words.

None the less we all are Sinners, Christians and Non-Christians alike. The flesh makes us sinful so until we shed this flesh were always gonna be sinful.

Now what if Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount folks you got to Surrender and have full Surrender and Total Surrender or you can’t be on my side of life, well that would stir up the crowd I’m sure.

Trying isn’t the way to heaven, There is only one way and that is thru Jesus Christ…. if the Father can make dry bones come to life just think what he can do for us.

Now I think some people want to get too deep into knowledge and want to try and pick the apple from the garden of Eden. Now knowledge is a good thing but to much knowledge can be bad.

Now God lives with Man once he confesses with thy mouth that Jesus is lord or knocks at the door.

This full surrender or total surrender sounds a bit much to me. I just like to keep it simple. Remember we are all made a little lower than the angels so what if some catastrophe comes your way and one of your sons and daughters gets killed or you lose all your riches……it happened to Job……but he never gave up the faith.

So having faith in God the creator and trusting him to supply your needs should be enough wouldn’t you think?

Lets face it I love the Lord but sometimes I tend to go astray a bit, I try not to but the flesh is weak. So if his yoke is easy and his burden is lite than being a bit holier than the other person doesn’t wash with me.

  36. Brother James, with Christ love, I have to do my best to correct you on a couple of things. First, and I will do my best not too loose you here but here we go. When we accept the finished work that Chris Jesus did on the cross, we are “Crucified with Christ”. Galations 2:20 NLT- My OLD self has been crucified with Chris. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives i me. So i live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
What this means is that our spirit, was litterally nailed to the cross with Jesus Christ. Obviously not physical but we are “Spirit” beings. Every man, woman, and child has a soul. So, when we except the finished work that Christ did on the cross we inter in, Spiritually to his crucifiction. We are no longer one being in a body. We are now 2. A holy spiritual being living in a physical sinfull, tainted shell.
So we are no longer sinners, we no longer are unhoyl. God sees us as he sees Christ. He doenst see the old James or the old Joe. He just sees Jesus. Ephesians 2: 10 (NLT) For we are Gods Masterpiece. He has created us anew IN CHRIST JESUS, so we can do the good thins he planned for us long ago.

So you see we arent sinners. We of course can choose to sin if we revert back to our sinfull “FLESH”. The Surrender part is us just allowing the holy spirit who now lives literally inside of us to rule. We cant do anything. We dont have the power to surrender because if we had that kind of power then we wouldnt need Jesus. Only the power of Christ who live inside of us can live the “surrendered life” of a holy and righteous believer.

  37. Please someone show me where in scripture the idea is set forth that Jesus can be one’s savior but not be one’s Lord. I have never understood this and it seems to be a very dangerous way of thinking to me in that it could lead to deception as to one’s salvation.

  38. Thank you for this article. It was a great help. I belive however that the will of God is known to all of us who read the Bible and then obey his commandments. His will is the same for all of us. His plan for our individual lives is however unknown. That is the difference between us and Old Testament people like Abraham, Moses etc. We will.never know His plan for our individual lives and therefore we cannot address this issue the way you explain it even though you are 100% correct.
An alternative way to explain this is that once we are saved and obey hos commands, by our faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible, we believe that our every step is ordered by God and therefore we accept outcomes about what we pray for as God’s aswer to our prayers. When those outcomes are unsatisfactory, we have reason to ask if our personal relationship with God is proper and make adjustments. We revisit the obedience issue to make sure we are obedient and that when we fall short, we confess our sins and repent and ask for forgiveness. Sometimes we have reason to believe the devil is affecting these outcomes because of the legal rights he still has over us and we seek deliverance. Remember our faith in Jesus cannot be questioned because it is based on faith (we belive he is the son of God and that he died so our sins are forgiven and that there is heaven and hell on faith (evidence of things not seen).
How do we know we carry his cross? Because we obey him and fear to displease him. We no longer commit sins, not because we lack the opportunity, but because we fear his wrath, and when we slip up, we are remorseful and quickly own up and ask for forgiveness. Hope this helps someone.

  39. Thank you for making it so simply clear that a Believer based on the scripture must Surrender his whole life to Gods control. You made it clear that we are saved by Grace through Faith it is The Gift of God. Full Surrender is not how we are Saved. Full Surrender is how we live out the new life on earth and continue forever through out Eternity. We have to remember as you have made so perfectly clear that God has a perfect Plan for every believer’s life.
How can we miss this Principle that you laid out based entirely on Scripture, upon Scripture.

The only thing that I see in this profound God revealed message is that we are Spiritual Beings. That is the order in you refer to how He created us is, We are, Spirit, Soul, and Body.
God Bless you Please keep getting the message out.

Also may I share with others on my website?

  40. Mike thank you. I can see that many have opinions and many have truthful questions. Only Love is a true measure of one’s reply. The Holy Spirit in us, as I once hear a Hindu say, if Christians have God in them, then why is there so much apathy among them and if God is in them, shouldn’t they be more Godly. The Bible teaches that without Love it means nothing, can we be honest with ourselves, accusations and name calling is not Love.

  41. Hey guys..,I love the article mike,it makes a lot of sense, let us not forget that the Word of God is given by the inspiration of God,it is preached without repentance and that no man can know the mind of God but the spirit of God alone knows the mind of God. Guys it is GOD GOD GOD all the way,I believe that even the Lord Jesus is part and parcel to the verry plans of God,this the sum of the matter, the word of GOD declares that God the Father “sent” His only begotten son so that whoever may believe on Him,may have eternal life, note that none of my sayings are my own or my beliefs or understanding but quotes from scripture?? The Word of God warns us about getting embroiled in the politics of the faith, leave it to the politicians because sally, why then did the Lord tell peter that satan had requested of him that he may sift him as wheat, and that the Lord Jesus had prayed for him in that when he would return to the faith he was to strengthen the brethren? Allow me to interject here with one very noteworthy scripture to ponder upon (ROM8:28) “all things work for good to those who are the called of the Lord, according to the fulfilment of His purpose”. That being said, let your zeal be according to knowledge for this is the great and dreadful God we speak of,see the dialogue of the Father throughout the old testament, especially job38-40…as for Christ, read revelations and Christ the seven spirits of GOD with Him, all of the above in the article I reckon to be correct, there are different rewards in heaven all will depend on the level of submission we submit to the Lord,Christ Himself is the perfect example of what true submission to God is about and the ultimate reward for it. The Lord bless each and every soul who’s tongue is the readied pen of a Holy Spirit inspired writer or preacher edifying and exhorting us in the Word of Truth. Not my truth but Christs Truth.

  42. I pray the lord have mercy on my soul for getting involved in this subject but let’s clear some things up…
Hey guys..,I love the article mike,it makes a lot of sense, let us not forget that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.after studying the Word of God,which makes one aproved of God in that it enables one to rightfully divide the Word of Truth…It is preached without repentance and that no man can know the mind of God but the spirit of God alone knows the mind of God. The Word of God warns us about getting embroiled in the politics of the faith, leave it to the politicians because why then did the Lord tell peter that satan had requested of him that he may sift him as wheat, and that the Lord Jesus had prayed for him in that when he would return to the faith he was to strengthen the brethren? Allow me to interject here with one very noteworthy scripture to ponder upon (ROM8:28) “all things work for good to those who are the called of the Lord, according to the fulfilment of His purpose”. That being said, let your zeal be according to knowledge for this is the great and dreadful God we speak of,see the dialogue of the Father throughout the old testament, especially job chapters 38-40…as for Christ, read revelations and Christ has the seven spirits of GOD with Him,read HIS words to the churches of the end times within revelations, all of the above in the article I reckon to be correct, there are different rewards in heaven, all will depend on the level of submission we submit to the Lord,Christ Himself is the perfect example of what true submission to the Will of God is(his prayer in the garden of gethsemane?) about and the ultimate reward for it. The Lord bless each and every soul who’s tongue is the readied pen of a Holy Spirit inspired writer or preacher edifying and exhorting us in the Word of Truth. Not my truth but Christs Truth. Christ summed it up in one profound statement “Believe in GOD”
Yet even if you do,you do well because the devil, his angels all believe in and fear the Living GOD. If you can conceive in the basic “dot” that we are as individuals before God,stand in awe of HIM,live a life that is forever in awe of this great and Majestical KING who when HE dealt with man,it was impossible for any man to enter the kingdom of GOD yet now, through his only begotten SON,man does have the opportunity to do so,it is not our job to play professor,no man can know the mind of GOD,all of our lives are different but His assignments for our lives are both basic (the two commandments that fulfill all the law of GOD,1.Love the lord your GOD with all your heart, mind, soul and body and love your neighbour as you love yourself) and it is also the TAILOR made package/calling for our lives in our personal geographical locations so,study the Word, submit to GOD according to the measure that is within you because HE alone gives the increase, the Holy Spirit will lead you into the knowledge and the callin of the Will of GOD for your life, according to the measure of your faith and the level of submission you give to God through Christ,do HIS will and pray without ending because we don’t know what to pray or ask for but the spirit of the Holy Ghost intercedes on our behalf.
Love for the saints in Christ

  43. What if it is too late? What if we have struggled through so many trials of our own doing and God gave us another chance and we blew a big decision again because of fear and not surrendering? Is it too late? Is my life over!

  44. Hi All
I have been searching for God since 2006 , and I feel the more I learn , the less I know . Every time I am getting close to where I want to be in my relationship with God , something pulls me down again . I need someone to pray for me please . The past few months things in my professional life have been going from bad to worse , starting exactly when I get closer to God , but then nothing wants to go right , it is just one disaster after another – in my work life . Please help .

  45. Thank you for this article! I’m 60 3/4 now, and I have been praying and asking God to lead me in my destiny. Mostly what you hear is that you should already know!!!
Well I didn’t, but through your article, I now understand that it will not be revealed until you have surrendered!

Through surrender to our Father and Lord Jesus, we complete our relationship with Them and The Holy Spirit!

God bless you and caan’t wait to meet you in heaven!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Praise The LORD always and forever, NO MATTER WHAT!

  46. i discovered your website today and was so excited until i was stopped instantly when i came across the section ” The Full Surrender”, in particular the sentence in this section that says ” now that you have done that, you have become fully saved and born again”. That is not Biblical. This is the great deception of the end times. 1st John says that we are born again when we have been made perfect in love, that we love each other as Christ loved us, and anyone who sins has not been born again. It also tells us that when we keep ourselves from sin, “that the wicked one touches us not” To be born again is a process we go thru, to have Christ formed in us. We must diminish so that He may increase. To say that by saying a prayer we have been born again and saved is a lie of the enemy. Please read and seek the Holy Spirit on this, it is the difference between life and death. We must go through a process of sanctification. This is so very important!!!!!! Please, those who are teachers, as you are, will be held accountable for all that you lead into false salvation., whether intentionally or not, James 3:1

    1. It is not by works which we are saved but by accepting Jesus Christ into our hearts as our personal Lord and saviour. From there we need to be obedient to his calling but he knew NO ONE can be without sin and Jesus through his shed blood is what allows God to to see us blameless in his site. This article is 100% truth and very bibically written.

    2. Hi Kathy: your comment was written two years ago but I just read it. I read and re-read I John 3. You are right. It does state that “anyone who continues to sin belongs to the devil’ v. 8. My question is how do we reconcile Apostle Paul who wrote “for the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.”
Romans 7:19. Was he not a christian?

  47. Praise The Lord for His goodness and mercy and His faithfulness to us. This is a great article and it will help many who read it. I pray you the writer is totally bless and God”s favor is upon you. I am so thankful and encourage to have read this. Everyday we must learn to die to our flesh by surrendering our will for the will of God.
I pray in the name of Jesus for myself and everyone who read the articles. Lord give us all a portion of your supernatural power of the Holy Ghost to help each one who read this to overcome all trials we may face. Lord, in Jesus name. To everyone who read this be encourage and know God has given all we need to fight this enemy the devil in all his tricks, demonic demons, by remembering to first putting on the full armor of God so that we can stand in the VICTORY. Jesus had already won the battle for all of us believer, His children. In Jesus name, Amen Amen Amen….

    1. On the crossing over unto my 45th birthday, I can truly say without a doubt it is well. Last week-end I had a dream that one of the pastors I truly honor and believe is from God told me God wanted me to surrender my whole heart to Him. I felt a lot of things, the strongest feeling was to give God what He asked of me. I turned my plate down and began to search for the scriptures & understanding I needed to give God exactly what He asked of me. . . I found all that I needed and more. God’s blessing upon you the writer, that took the time to make sure a soul down in the valley made it Home. Thank You, Eternally Greatful!

  48. Excellent article!!! Praise be to our Father in heaven for this information and thanks to you Mike for listening to the Comforter and posting it in loving obedience. We need more of this truth…suffice it to say, we need to try harder, go bigger, and every day re-realize and re-learn the scope and love and beauty of what’s been given to us. We are not lukewarm, we are fully on fire!!! Your article brings to mind this scripture…

MT 5:48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

This is a direct call for us to be saints now, right here, right now…with every second we have left on this earth. There’s no half in. There’s only full in. You can’t do Jesus’ direct instruction in MT 5:48 without first doing everything this article mentions. I should mention I have been at this (fully surrendering) for some 2 years and have noticed one thing to keep in mind. We are not all the same. For some people it takes a total of 2 seconds for this to happen. For others, 2 decades. And the time required is not necessarily a measurement of your commitment to Christ. Some of us take longer to cook. If you are struggling just keep trying with the full effort of every cell in your mind/body, every part of your spirit, and with the full depth of your soul. Just commit now to forever loving and never stopping until God is in full active administration over your life. God bless and all praise, honor, and glory to our Father in heaven in the name Yeshua Christ.

  49. Thanks a million M. O. G for a life changing message, the entire message was anointed and led by the Holy Ghost. All excuses have been eliminated. I receive this power word and I know it was meant for me to read, just yesterday at church my prayer request was for a passion to please God, my prayer has been answered. I pray that the Lord continue to use you for His glory to set the captives free in the precious mighty name of Jesus.

  50. May God in His abundant Grace fill you with more biblical and spiritual revelations and contents to share with the spiritually-thirsty individuals; especially during this era in the name of Jesus Christ!!

  51. Excellent explanation for persons groping in the dark regarding their way of life an illuminating presentation of facts with the right proof’s.

  52. So powerful. Faith in knowing, “God will not forsake you”
I questioned if God started punishing me, but deep down my faith knew otherwise. This article answered my doubts. These tribulations are self made. I cannot surrender and continue my self-destructive ways. Let God simplify the complex, stop responding the moment you hear bad news.. Surrender in prayer, and watch Gods grace

Thank you for an excellent article!

  53. excellent article, the answers i have been struggling with and seeking from my daily prayer to the Lord and from my church pastor (who disappointed me) so i was driven to seek them on the web, wrote to many renowned preachers/speakers but still did not get any reply. What really hits me is the dilemma, should i stop working for livelihood as i have recently registered a personal business and promoting myself to my customers. Have recently resigned after long (35 yr)working in many companies last being a global multi national major who also proved to be just another private exploiting employer forcing you to labor so hard to bring you to a health mishap or be force to leave the work. Thus i left and tried to serve my church for few months but saw through the evil schemes of the committee and pastor and highly disappointed that the church also is no longer a worship temple but just like a corporate structure where ambitious pastors and office bearer try to promote themselves by any means and with the money that is available everyone tries to act smart. My dreams shattered then and so recently i thought of returning to the secular world of working on my own (as i am 55 and not keen to work as employee under anyone- i am sure the situation will be same everywhere) thus i have registered a private company and plan to work with integrity in serving a limited number of customers with satisfaction, since i have seen all businesses today are actually trying to gobble up more than what they can chew or digest- thereby putting pressure on all employees to bring more & more-ultimately stretching the stress levels so high that either you resign or fall down sick.
with this article i am more deep in confusion as to what do i do now when i have just started a week ago, and have to work at least few months to obtain my first order; what do i do, shall i leave home and family to fend for themselves and start distributing christian literature on the road. I have always been generous to give and care for the needy, and that was because i was earning and still feel if i can earn then i can be a source of blessing to others too. Please guide me and quickly answer me and resolve my perplexed state of mind.

  54. Thank you for this post. It really helped clarify a word from the Lord I received today. I am praying through this now and am excited to enter in to my destiny. See you on the other side friend!

  55. I’m not sure I’ll get a response here, but I don’t know when I’ve been surrendered. I’ve prayed a few times and have meant it, but nothing really changes. I’ve lost all confidence in myself, I don’t smile or walk tall anymore. All I hear is deny yourself, life is trials. It’s not about happiness but holiness. Etc

Why can’t I have a happy or loving life? I’ve told God if I haven’t surrendered, i am willing so please help. Nothing but dead silence the last 3 years. One of my fears is if I surrender I’ll be broke, homeless, and forced to marry someone i cannot stand physically and emotionally.

I doubt every decision too. I think I’m gonna just do the best I can. Example, if I will get married, I obviously choose her and will love her, otherwise I Am not getting married at all, sorry God.

    1. I will pray for you. In this moment, we command change to enter your life by and through the power of the Living God that resides in us, in Jesus’ powerful name, amen! Watch and expect!

      1. Yeah. Things literally just got worse. I wasn’t just telling someone don’t pray for me cause when that happens things get worse. Dead serious

        1. Hi Jonathan,
this is just an idea from a person who has always had troubles and poverty, but I believed in God my whole life since I was four years old and I have many blessings. To receive the blessings you need, you must confess and turn away from any sin in your life. Not become perfect overnight, but realize, admit your sins and promise God that with His help you will make a supreme effort to turn your back on anything sinful in your life. It will not be easy, or instant. And it will take the rest of your life to follow this path. You will always be imperfect until the day you look upon the face of Jesus. You probably have some healing to do. And learning. Read the Bible and pray for His guidance in understanding it and adhering to it. You will always have troubles, but they will help you find God’s peace and wisdom if you do not become bitter and give up. In spite of my troubles, I feel that God is with me and I have happiness. I have thanked God for troubles and setbacks. Because it is in those times that God makes His presence and power known to me. And blessings have always followed, not money, but such peace and joy and an ability to help others. There is no greater joy than that, with God right there with you. Do His will and you will become happier. He will never force you into any relationship that is not right or is destructive to you. Do His will and pray, pray, pray, always and without ceasing. God is always listening. He wants to help and bless you. Clean all sinful activity and things out of your life. Turn from any sinful practice. God will help you do this. And study His Word with the expectation that He will start moving in your life and bring you out into a place of light and peace. Thanks for reading this. I hope it helps. Pat B.

    2. Dear Jon God sees your struggles and he does here you,but young one you need to remember God Answers our prayers in his time not ours..God Has someone to love you and you love them God has a plan for your life stop and listen God speaks to to us every day..Talk to your angel god gave us all 1 God Bless you young one do not give up hope all will turn out right in time.

  56. Praise The Lord.I just finished reading this article and am really blessed.its like God was speaking to me directly.I have prayed the two prayers and I know that my life is in God’s control.I surrender my soul, spirit, body and whole life to Him.its not easy but its the only way.I have learnt to fully follow Him,to let Him choose a path for me and direct my path everyday. I thankyou for this article.God bless you abudantly

  57. Hi my friends just so all of you know saying this prayer once a month keeps you safe from satan and his evil spirits…Remember to say the full surrender and plead the blood of jesus every month, you need to keep doing this..May God Bless you and keep you in his perfect grace.

  58. The one MAJOR thing holding me back from fully surrendering my life to God is my husband. We are now unequally yoked because I accepted Jesus as my savior. He is an out of practice Jehovah’s Witness, a religion which I do not follow. BUT…he is a wonderful loving husband! He has always went out of his way to take care of me and forgiven me for some horrible things I did in the past. We have always been like best friends. It absolutely breaks my heart that I might have to say goodbye to him and break his heart, After 14 years of being faithful and loving to me. How can I ever love God fully with my heart if he took him away from me? some people act like this should be no big deal to me and I should just shrug my shoulders and be like…well, it’s all for God. It makes me mad that they don’t consider how hurtful and stressful it is when they say it like that. You’re not helping anyone. It’s not that easy and you don’t help when you act like it should be no be deal.

    1. I don’t believe you have to leave your husband. PLEASE be careful at how you are interpreting thus article and God’s will. I would definitely seek one on one personal spiritual counsel from more than one source (person). Wise counsel. Not friends and random people. The most important thing is he believes in God.

    2. Amanda I pray that you will find peace in your heart from the Word of God. I would like to encourage you not to break up your marriage or break your husband’s heart. Pray for your husband ask God to touch his heart and open his eyes to the truth of His Word. God can do anything and God is for and love marriages. Pray not for God to take him away from you, but that God would save him and use both of you to do his will.
I hope you find comfort from my encouragement, God richly bless you, your husband and your marriage.

    3. 1 Corinthians 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

  59. Today I can say I have been bless by this article. I have been struggling to make a decision to go where I believe God is sending me. I kept procrastinating and questioning God again and again and aagain(smh) asking if this is whath He is really saying to me. I asked Him for confirmation upon confirmation and He has been giving it to me, yet I did not obey. Of recent so many troubles, testing, and struggles kept popping up in my life and I know it is because I am walking in disobedience.
Thanks for helping me to fully surrender my life again to the Lord, I was crying as I read this article, I know that God has spoken again. When I was finish I felt the peace of God in my spirit. God bless you and continue to write and bless the heart of the body of Christ. Thanks again.

  60. Excellent article! I could feel the presence of The Holy Spirit as I read it. Unfortunately, this much needed information is not taught in many churches today. Thank you for writing it. God bless.

  61. I am in a tough place . This article has left me confused 🙁 I have been trying and trying to surrender to GOD and I absolutely have no clue even after reading these words how to do that . If we married the wrong person or persons in our lives .. do you think God honors that marriage or does the verse forsake all apply here does he intentionally brings division among two people who he didn’t plan for you to be with ? I’ve been very scared that I missed rhe will of God over my life and missed my calling this article made me think even more that that is possible . I truly do not know how to hand over my life to God when there’s silence on where to go how to do it I find myself being depressed and feeling more rejected than accepted by God because I obviously can’t measure up to even know how to surrender .. I’m sorry if this sounds anti God I am not anti God in any way I love him very much and wish for nothing more than to please him however I feel I am and will continue to be failing him as I do not know the will purpose or direction from God . Please keep me in prayer .

    1. Crazy I came upon this article again was going to comment saw that i had already done that with no responses . Nothing has changed much since I wrote this . Ive been told his yoke is easy and his burden is light but from these comments and from my constant striving to know whether I have missed the will of God for my life I still feel scared and depressed .

      1. Dear Karen,
I have felt exactly as you do. I did not know how to surrender. But after reading this article, today, I see. If you search this article you will find the answer. God does not send trouble to people. They can find it for themselves. If you are married, you must bring the word of God to your husband. Witness to him and pray for him. Ask God to help you witness to him and ask Him to open your husband’s heart and mind to the Lord Jesus. Think of the state of your marriage and your husband’s ways as a cry for help. Ask God to do whatever is needed to make him aware of the Lord and to open his mind to Him. Pray fervently for the salvation of your husband, family and for guidance. Going to a Christian counselor or minister is also a good idea; eventually get your husband to go, after witness and prayer. Don’t ever give up. It may be God’s desire that you bring your husband into God’s loving care and a relationship with Him. If he is already a Christian then you can pray together and study the Word together to find peace and clarity. And always know that God will hear, answer and love you, no matter what. Your task is not easy, but with God’s help it will be the most meaningful, fulfilling and healing thing you will probably ever do in this life. Keep praying about it and ask God specifically what to do and say each day that will make progress with your husband and your marriage, and your lives. If you do, a change will take place. It may take a long time and much effort and sweat.but do not give up. Even if you separate, I know that your husband and you will both blessed if you hand your problems over to God.This is the work of the Spirit and it is your work as a Christian. Always pray for others and yourself. Study the Word, pray and keep on believing, and you will come out of this into a place of peace. I will also pray for you. I hope this helps you. Pat B.

      2. Karen Bless you … The problem you are having is you are trying to put New Wine (obedience) into old wine skins (reasoning’s). New Wine requires New Wine skins(obedience). This Way of GRACE that JESUS has given to us does not require you to fix your past, but to repent (turn from it). The Cross of JESUS is a portal where we Believers become aware that we can now live in obedience to HIS WORD, because we now have a new source (ability) of life which is GOD’S WORD The Scriptures… Not only do we have this new source/ability to live from, we have a New Being to live It with (your born-again spirit). Karen… the old heart which is desperately wicked (Jer 17:9) cannot lead you to do GOD’S Will. This old heart is found in your chest and has its expressions through feelings. GOD has given us Believers a New Heart (Eze.11:19-20) that will guide us into all that HE Desires in HIS People. This New Heart is located in The Believer’s belly (John 7:38-39) and has its expression through Faith. How does a Believer know when he is walking in the New Heart vs the old heart? The New Heart’s leading looks like and sounds just like The Bible. There is no way that a Believer can please GOD living out of the old heart of flesh that is desperately wicked. The old heart is filled with doubt. The New Heart is filled with Faith! The old heart use reasoning independent of The Bible. The New Heart uses obedience without reasoning’s. The old heart fall into sin often. The New Heart (spirit) of the born-again Believer can never sin because we are born of GOD (1 John 3:9). Karen … stop trying to please GOD with your mind reasoning and just OBEY HIM! (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
Obedience comes out of TRUST! Do you trust FATHER GOD (The Bible) enough to obey HIM without questioning HIM?
If there is striving in your life in the Things of GOD … that indicate that you are using your old heart reasoning’s instead of your New Heart’s faith. Tie your mind to GOD’S WORD to obey instead of tying your mind to feelings and reasoning’s that foster doubt.
You say you have been told that his Yoke is easy and HIS Burden is light. The problem is you have not believed what you’ve been told. You are like Thomas when he said, “Except I shall see in HIS Hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side I will not believe”.(John 20:25). Now look at JESUS’ response in verse 29. Karen presently your faith in GOD requires proof. Your faith in GOD going forth requires your obedience!
Believe me Karen … HIS Yoke is easy and HIS Burden is light. I have believed and experience this Truth for some 47 years without fail.
Karen take GOD at HIS WORD and stop doubting!! OK?
        Matthew Moses James

    2. I read somewhere this prayer..
Lord, grant me the things that I need but not in excess or I may be prone to forget you and not too little for I fear I may abandon you!
I learnt through bitter experience that it is in distress and poverty that I have found God because when I am at my lowest point that I have no better place to look but UP towards Heaven
      Praise be to God

  62. thank you for this piece I pray as I invite the holy spirit to take charge the grace not to grieve Him as I was used to before God will bestow on me. And henceforth the Holy Spirit is incharge of my life! thank you God, thank you Jesus and thanks to you Holy Spirit

  63. My God I needed to hear that and feel the mercy and grace of God once more. I really messed up & kept messing up for years & drifted so far from God & convinced myself there was no way back.
I have been confused & messed up but always felt the need to find christ again
but went about it totally blinded.
After reading this and evaluating my life I broke down-prayed-repented of my past failures in life & want to follow Christ once more. I feel at peace & refreshed & want to say thank you so much for bringing me hope & passages from the bible that helped me enormously.
I believe that the holy spirit is around me & has helped me make the right decision it’s as if I can hear & feel him saying to me I need to find the Lord once more before it’s too late.
    Please keep me in prayer.

Thank you and God bless you always.

    Mr C

  64. Loved this article! I got to it through a different article when I looked up “God is no respecter of men (or persons).” I’m 58 and was saved around 12 or 13 years old. I have tried total surrender before, but seem to still struggle not being joyful or with a purpose that is God given and driven. I just don’t know the correct way to surrender myself. It’s very scary and I did say the prayer laid out, after I was already on my knees in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to rightly guide me through this surrender thing. I feel like maybe I need a PHD to get me there. It should be simple and easy to do….but then what? I ask for your prayers for me as I surrender my entire self and hopefully there is no looking back. I want to be blown away by God being in control of my life. Thank you.

  65. I now have answers to most of the questions I’ve been wondering about. As said, the choice remains with me, about which realm to chose but I’d be wise enough to choose God’s when I finally do.
This kind of choice isn’t something you can just get excited over and make up your mind, it requires inner thoughts between yourself and yourself.
    Thank you

  66. I am saved and I’ve been baptized. But I felt something was missing. And I realize what it was yesterday. I have not fully surrendered to God. I knew I should but I didn’t want to let go that control. But now I know that’s what I have to do. I’ve been saved 4 years but I haven’t really wanted to submit to God and surrender but I’m going to because my life is not going the way I wanted to and I know God has a better plan for me.

  67. I went into thos full surrender but messed it up gpt all confused and fell away and now live for self but want to come back and fulfill call he had for me he was leading and guiding me but i had to go theough rejection and church hurt and i did not know what to do now i am empty and dont have the lord talking to me anymore living for self and so lost i want to go back in it but ruined everything so i gave up and now cant get back and dont know what to do

    1. Therefore now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and called for His purpose. Don’t listen to the condemning voices. Find a Trustworthy Christian who with the Holy Spirit can gently show you again the embrace of the Heavenly Father and Son, Jesus Christ and their mercy and grace.
Church hurt is one of the hardest to deal with because it is not expected. But churches are full of humans and often hurt humans. God bless you and know you are loved.

    2. The road back to our life with the Lord can seem hard but just keep going. He is Faithfull and Just. Make a confession of faith and repent from self worship. He knows our desires and will honour us when we turn back to Him. Remember the Prodigal Son, once he decided to go home, as soon as the Father saw him, He ran to him because the Father had been watching all the time for aHis son to return. And ehen He found His son He complet6restored his position in The Father’s House. Because God is Love.

    3. Marsha,
You go to God and ask him for forgiveness and ask him for another chance ..
Pray to him from your hurting heart .. He will answer your prayers.. I was in a similar place in my life and I went to him .. Sometimes I would be on fire for the Lord and then sometimes I just get so depressed and make it all about myself and forget all about him .. I would forget to pray to him or give thanks .. there are times I know I have to get off the bed in the morning and pray and it’s as if I can’t move and I keep trying to fight it but sometimes it gets the best of me .. But I don’t ever give up .. No matter how hard the devil knocks me down I always get right back up and kick him in the face and start praising and giving thanks to my God .. Sweetheart don’t give up.. Keep fighting , God has your back .. This is a test for your heart also .. The more hungry you get for God the more your love for him will grow and you are going to get to that point where the devil will not be able to move you anymore..
Keep pressing on .. Don’t give up on God the father because he hasn’t given up on you..
      God Bless You!!!!

  68. I have and am willing to continually to place my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into God’s hands.Thank You Jesus!

  69. I desire to live whole heartedly, mind, body and soul for Jesus Christ. I surrendor All of me, heart, mind, body, and soul to Jesus Christ. I no longer want to be in control of my life. I want Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.

  70. I see all of what you are saying and in my head I understand, but in my heart I am confused. I don’t know what it means to surrender after I have said the prayer, I don’t know what to do to live for Him, I don’t know how to let Him take control. It is all so abstract to me, I just can’t understand what you mean. Do I stop doing all I am doing and wait to hear Him? How do I know which decisions to make that will align with His will? How do I know that I am doing His work, His will. All that is left to do is stop thinking and hope for the best…and that seems hopeless

    1. Hi Niesey,
I feel like I could have written what you did. I understand it all but I guess I want someone to say “this is what you need to do everyday” in the natural, but then I’m counting on man to help me change and not believing and trusting in the Lord to do it. I think that after giving up the control we just take it day by day moment by moment and let the Holy Spirit work in us to get to that full surrender. We can’t do it by ourselves, we need Him. We can do all things through Him (Philippians 4:13)! Keep praying, keep seeking His face….Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you (James 4:8)….keep seeking. Knock and He will answer, seek and you will find…(Matthew 7:7-8) I pray right now that God will touch you and that the Holy Spirit will move in you to give you just what you need, that it won’t be just head knowledge but heart knowledge as well. That He will fill you will His joy as you learn to trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5).

      1. Hi Theresa, I feel the same way that Niesey does. I try to choose the will of the Father but find myself not hearing from the Holy Spirit and messing up. My head gets it but my heart doesn’t which in turn I end up with no fruit in my life.
        Thank you for your comment.

    2. I believe spending time early in the morning, he will guide us by The Holy Spirit. We will hear him or be led. I am going to trust in God to come and let me know. I cant wait to do Gods will.

      1. I was reading this article and was enjoying it until I came to the comments part. The statement that Ketra mentioned hit my heart very hard because God has called me in to Ministry and I haven’t started with the training because I can’t afford it at the moment. He showed me in a vision on Sunday the second of December, I saw myself busy with my work and was excelling with my office work and at end of the vision He gave me Mathew 6:33 and don’t know what to do anymore because I can’t even afford to buy a flight ticket to go and get trained as the Lord’s instructions. I really do want to do Gods will but my financial situation is blocking me. Please pray for so I could get out of debts and afford to go to the Bible college. I was taken to Heaven more than once and have met Jesus Christ personally in visions. Please pray for me.

    3. Thank you Niesey for your transparency. Several weeks back, I discovered the author’s site on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Actually, it was via said site that led me to discover this one (The Full Surrender). In the case of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, as explained, the Holy Spirit leaves the human spirit (with your permission of course) and enters your soul where He takes control of your life. I would suggest you check out the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe it will answer some of your questions.

  71. (resubmission) I believe that when Christ Jesus said, “It is finished!” on the cross, He was
acknowledging that He had achieved what He stated in Luke 4:18-19. This was because
Father sent all human spirits into Christ Jesus on the cross & they were all cleansed, sins
forgiven, given spiritual sight, etc. …. so all that was required was for anyone to turn to the Light to SEE that they WERE set free … turn from darkness to Light (see John 3:16)

  72. I want to thank u for this article that the Lord specifically led me to after praying about this very topic. He amazes me with His care and concern. God has opened my eyes with your article! This is just what i needed. I believe God’s anointing is on u & ur ministry because this article brought such clarity to me. Thank u! I am forever grateful & ready to fully surrender my life to God after all these years of being a christian. May God bless u always!!! And I thank God for ur website.

  73. By reading through and after read the whole article I was really really blessed and am making my decision now to surrender my whole being to the Lord and have him take full control of my life. I’m not yet married and am praying that God will provide the wife who has the heart as I am, who will also surrender her whole life for the work of God. Currently my father is dead and I feel like all my hope is gone, but by meditating and praying to seek God’s will for my life, I have come across this article and it has really changed my whole life and caused me to completely surrender my whole being to God and let him take full control of my present life and lead me on into the future.
May God continue to bless your ministry and filled you with wisdom as you continue to impart the divine knowledge and direction on how to live a successful life through an intimate relationship with the Lord.
    Praying for you.
    God bless.

    1. Just want to say thank you Jesus, I’m your child Lord forgive me. 74. I also want to thank you for writing this anointed article on surrendering our lives fully to almighty God. After many many years as a Born Again Christian I Have finally understood
That unless the Lord builds the House, the Labourers labour in vain. So I have fully surrendered all to my Heavenly Father. This morning the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart,
“Be Willing” that was before I read your article. Now I understand why He said these words to me. He was preparing me to read your article on complete surrender to God.
Lord, I am willing, and now I have surrendered all to Him, mind, body, and soul.
Thank you so much, and may you and your ministry be blessed mightily by the Lord Most High. God bless you.

  75. Thank you God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Holy Spirit. For the writer of this article I give you praise. For bringing me to where I read this article I thank You God. Truly Lord,You knows the intent of the heart of every one. I have prayerfully and carefull read this article, i have prayed the prayers of confession , even I have made that before.Thank you for saving me, and for giving me a rebirth. I have also prayed all the prayers in the article. Lord please; let it be unto me according to my Confession in the article, let Thy will be done in my life. Thank You God. Thank You Jesus
    Thank You Holy Ghost. Amen

  76. I became tired of defending my atheism and, though the atheist point of view always made sense to me, I decided to experience the “other side” by giving up atheism for Lent. I’ve wasn’t raised in a religious home so I thought I may be too biased, based on my limited experience in that respect.
I started attending Mass as often as possible, trying hard to believe (adding daily prayers into the mix, while getting to know God by reading my Bible as often as possible, definitely before sleep and upon arising). I really listened and, at first, pretended that God existed so I could see things from a different perspective as I value having an open mind.
Eventually I realized that believing and dealing with my own sins, inspired by what I was newly experiencing, was far better for me than otherwise. I admit, though, that it wasn’t a completely rational decision but by actively trusting Jesus it felt right. I know this was all reinforced by becoming an active member of my Church, and so I converted to Catholic.
It all started with a decision and surrendering to God was God’s plan, which became more obvious to me over time.
If more atheists would open their minds and hearts to God perhaps they, too, would come to know a different, better way to live their lives. I know I have.

  77. Thanks be to God for guiding and blessing the author for the benefit of many like me.
Am going to intensify my prayers to the Almighty God for more deeper insight to learn, appreciate and Glorify God’s love for us but also prepare for the abundant blessings in Jesus Name.

  78. Thank you Jesus for this teaching. I’m imparted and do believe my life will never be the same as from now. I lived a life of believing that I can make it and never involved my God. Today I have learnt that nothing is hidden to Him but all is naked before Him, what shall it profit me in gaining earthly fame when my steps are not ordered by God. I choose to Surrender my life to Christ totally body, soul and spirit. May you God start to order my steps a direct my ways from now. I refuse the life of being without you as lived before but, living a life with Christ as from now. Thank God, thank you Jesus, thank you holy spirit Amen.

  79. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. I’m sure the holy spirit lead me here. I’ve been in a struggle for the last 2 years to fully surrender this last “thing” I didn’t want to give up. I looked for scripture to see if it was wrong and couldn’t find anything on it. My heart was just feeling farther away and I just knew the Lord had been asking me to give this up. I went into some intensive warfare over and over and felt I was in a war and kept losing the battle. My heart feels free although if you read these comments can you pray for me? Your articles have been a huge wake up call for me. Blessed are you!

    1. Thank you so very much for the amazingly powerful and transformative truths you have shared in this article! I am recommitting my body, soul, spirit and entire life to Jesus again, more completely and more diligently than ever! I feel like I am beginning a new phase of service for and with our precious Lord and King Jesus! Thank you and God bless you richly for sharing the truth and light of the Spirit of God!

  80. I completely surrender myself, my body you lord. After many years of living my life of failures. I realize that the only real way of living is to follow gods way. God is good! Over and over he has forgiven. Last week after some troubled time I turned to god asking for his forgiveness once again. Surrendering my whole body to him, praying he take away my sins and burdens. Attended Sunday service and God was definitely there. Thank you Jesus for your everlasting love. I trust in you, take my body, my hands to guide me to only live in your way.

  81. Thank you Lord for the author of this article and the arrangement of all the scriptures. My coming here is a confirmation that God has heard my prayers and wish to fully surrender. You the author are blessed and God is using you to direct those searching to cross the Jordan.
    I

  82. I found this article very helpful. LORD thank YOU so much for me to read this and fully realize that only by fully submitting and surrendering to YOU, that really what I was made for. LORD, again thank YOU for YOUR longsuffering and patience. And of course, YOUR uncommon Grace and Mercy, that YOU have truly extended to me. All of you stay blessed. Thank you.

    To God be the Glory!

  86. What a beautiful teaching!!! It has literally saved my life again and the timing is more than perfect! To God Be the Glory and to you, Michael Bradley, thank you for being obedient and sharing this revelation with the world! It is truly appreciated! May God continue to bless you!

  87. Thank you Lord for leading me to this inspiring article. May God bless the author of this article and continue to use him to reveal His wonderful and mysterious ways to us.

I strongly believe that my prayers for the truth to prevail in my life have been answered through this article. For as God’s Word says: we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free. I surrender all to you O, Lord my God. I am now free from all the bondages that had held me back in my spiritual walk with you. I am so grateful and thankful to you Lord for directing me to the right path through your Word. Lord I thank You, for You have set me free today and helped me survive what was meant to destroy my entire life. Thank you Lord Jesus! Amen.

  88. I don’t know how much I can really thank you for this article but all i can say is thank you and God bless you. Ive been leaving life thinking I’ve surrendered to God but this article just opened my eyes to another realm and i saw the need for total surrender n with the help of the prayer i just did. Am the most happiest person today bc the Lord has started building the house (my life) and i know there will be no more failures and misfortunes for its all in his hands. Thank you so much n God bless you

  89. Powerful and gracious work! Thank you and oh its all making sense; we go to the Cross daily, giving thanks for who Jesus is and what Jesus has done and all the benefits, get a refilling by and obey the Holy Spirit’s lead for the day. Ha, such a blessing to be fully surrendered. None could do such great work with such love and depth of grace! May He replenish you daily as you replenish us! Where can I send an offering please?

  90. I thank you so much for sharing this article, i feel very blessed to be able to come across this message through the www. I feel more calmer and i pray that i will learn more on how to fully surrender on daily basis. Please teach us example, if i am suppose to do something and i dont know how to do it, i pray and wait upon the Lord or i keep moving to search and explore trusting the Lord will help. I pray i will get few example of someones life how they moved on after surrendering to the Lord, what was their life before and after and issues one overcame through the surrender. Thank you God bless.

  91. After a few hours of repentance and total surrender to the LORD this morning this article
provides the way forward for me, I am truly grateful for the wisdom and knowledge I found
in this article and the Assurance that JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE..
and I glady lay my ALL before him and look forward to what he has in store for me as I step out into this new season with JESUS IN FULL CONTROL OF MY LIFE AND DEAR HUSBANDS LIFE TOGETHER..

    Blessings for sharing.
    Amen.

  92. I’m fixing to turn 62 you might say I’ve played church all my life I struggle with assurance of my salvation and I know I’ve never surrendered my life to Him.
I want to go to heaven and I want to live for the Lord. But I am plagued with “its to late” so many regrets
So much guilt and shame for a wasted life
Please tell me what I can do
    Broken & Scared

    1. I’m 52 and have struggled with the same feelings your talking about. The enemy will do anything to keep us from moving into Gods plans for us including filling our heads with lies and fears that it’s too late! The thing is we’re still alive so it can’t be too late! The other thing is that Ive asked God the question that if I could just see or meet someone else out there who feels the same way it would really help and look here you are! We are not as alone as we sometimes feel in our struggles. Thank you for being an answer to some ones prayers!

  93. Thank you so much for such a thorough, clearly laid out and convincing article. All the chosen scripture verses are such a blessing and should be meditated over as often as possible ( maybe rotating daily to commit them deep into the heart and keep us on track!!)…Totally brilliant article leading us exactly to the fulfilled TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE of serving our Lord completely…if we have a true grasp and appreciation of the blessing of our own personal salvation … why would we want it any other way…. there’s no other logical way… the full surrender is the only way to get as close to Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit as we truly desire to be. Every Christian should read this article. I’ll be passing it on for sure. Thank you so much. Thank You Jesus for leading me right to it!! Bless you.

  94. I am sharing this beautiful website for it is exactly what my Lord Jesus Christ showed me and led me to do in 1977; to simply give everything about me over to God to control. I didn’t make any empty promises to God, such as I’d always done before in life, about ‘being good and holding tight to His Hand, if He would help me,’ but was honest instead, telling Him I couldn’t seem to help how I thought and felt, which I knew caused my words and actions, Asking Him to change me in any way He might want, my thoughts, feelings, words and actions. I asked for His Supernatural Love for my husband if He wanted me to stay in my marriage to him or else please show me the way out, for I was trapped and God was my only hope left for the happiness that I so desperately needed. I ended my prayer of full surrender by telling God that He could have my life if He wanted it, just please make me happy. I will never regret having done so. From that moment on I trusted each step I took was a step in the right direction towards that happiness I was in such great need of..and God did not disappoint me in the least bit. There’s so much to share, too much to share in one little comment section, but to say God gave me the love and happiness I desired, although the going was really rough at times, I knew it was not without purpose, but was a necessary part of learning and growing in Christ and I can honestly say I do not regret having to go through anything that I did, because God’s Word is true as He has proven to me continually since 1977, and even before that, even before I fully surrendered to Him, God proved His Word true to me every time I prayed, He answered. But in 1977 when I put my trust fully in Him for everything, I was trusting Him to work Everything together for good to me, even before I knew that promise was in my Bible <3 And He has and does and will continue to do so, of that I am 199% + certain <3 And as He clearly showed me and has proven to me, we can defeat Satan every single time with that one promise alone, and yet God has given us a whole Book full of great and precious promises and He tells us that 'all of His promises to us are yes and amen by us, in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 8:28; 2Corinthians 1:20) He taught me to 'Give thanks IN Everything and For All things (1Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 5:20,) for He lives in the praise of His people (Psalm 22:3) and He has promised to 'work All things together for good to them that love Him and I do…(We love Him, because He first loved us (1John 4:19)) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  95. Why is salvation and surrender presented as two separate events instead of surrender being the act that brings salvation?

    1. For me When I fully received and accepted and Chose( because God gave us freedom of choice) to believe and receive Christ. To realize that He loves all of me. Have it hit me like a ton of bricks what Christ did for me on the Cross. My experience ( everyone’s is different) I was invited to go to Church for 5-6? Months. That day I finally went (reluctantly) I went. I felt like trash, broken, tired. Afraid of another let down of people that is going to judge me. And what I found was HOPE in Christ Jesus. A release of laying down my pain. BUT That’s where it all starts. There’s much more to it than that very moment. The major transformation begins as you get to know Christ thats when the more you change, the more you desire to be like Him and to follow Him and to lay yourself down and Surrender all to Him. In your first moments of salvation I don’t think you can fully grasp the level of Surrender that the Bible is talking about. I am no scholar. I’m just speaking from my personal walk. And many people I have talked to. They have a desire for a different life so that may be the surrender you’re speaking of. But God wants ALL and He deserves it all. Nothing less. But nobody can truly understand the type of surrender that is in the Bible unless they read it. And understand it to fully grasp it. (The flesh can be very stubborn when you walked in the world for a long time and seen a lot and been into a lot ) (it can rise up after the honeymoon stage is over if somebody does not mentor you and help you get in the Word) The road is narrow to life and few find it. Matt 7:14

Anyways that’s my thought on it I don’t know if I should respond but I felt led to so I am. Have a beautiful day and of course take whatever I said with love. The stuff that you’re not agreeing with blow it away with the breathe a kindness God bless you!

    2. Maybe it is because Christians do not explain this aspect to unbelievers or new converts as they are just wanting them to make a quick decision or presenting a enticing gospel rather than the fullness of it or even perhaps as Not all Christians understand this aspect themselves. To be fair, I grew up in a Christian family but it took me years to come across or even understand this message. I thought it was about believing in Jesus and his death and resurrection and loving him but love can be misinterpreted as emotional or even keeping rules. Surrendering parts of our lives like careers and stuff I never heard until I was in my 30s! I had completely messed up my life so much by this time and had gone astray and I’ve never had his true joy! His plan is and will be much better

    3. My understanding is that believing in Jesus as Savior provides you with the path to heaven.

Surrendering our lives provides us with the power of the Holy Spirit to be effectual as Christians – especially in my case was the power awarded to my prayers.

Many confuse the Kingdom of Christ with Heaven.

Those believers who die on earth will go to Paradise (just as the Lord Jesus did). There they will be comforted and wait for the second coming of Christ. When Christ returns He will judge all Christians for how they have lived their lives as Christians and reward them accordingly. Those who are fully matured will be invited to reign with Him during the mellinium (1000 year reign). This is when Christ will throw Satan into the firely lake for good. Those who are not mature enough will need to undergo more discipline so that they will be like Christ when He hands everything over to God at the end of the millennium. Watchman Nee taught this very well. He is no longer with us but his Bible teachings are available on-line.

  96. May the lord bless you and enrich you for being a vessel in house to serve people like me. I always comeback to this message every time I feel weak in my journey of total surrender to the lord. The body is so deceitful and will always want to have its way in this life and that is when I’m reminded of God’s greatness. He is able to humble us and put us right back on truck.
It is during this climb that you meet real challenges and you are called to choose whom you will serve. I have had a case where extended family betrayed me bitterly the bodily thing to do was to say that I forgive you but I keep away from you. But total surrender says not only forgive those who hurt you but move extend practical grace to them for who knows if by your ministering to them you will save their souls. Choosing to serve God is choosing not to gratify self but gratifying God. May God continue with me in this journey that I will an available vessel for his service not caring so much about myself but what value my service adds to the greatness of God

May God continue using you to spread his gospel of grace. Amen

  97. I give God the glory for leading me through the path of salvation and now full surrender.I do believe that it’s my time to fully walk in Christ and catch my destiny.May my life reflect God’s grace and goodness all the days of my life.
    Thank you Jesus.

  98. I’m 66,years ol age and I been trying to run my own life most of those years and have not been to successfully in doing so The time that I have left in this world I’m going to dedicate it to God.if I fail in some was along the way I will not turn back but I will pick myself up and continue foward. I think God for the time to give me a chance to live for him.

  99. This article was sent to me by Evangelist Belema Abili, she told to follow the instructions, do all it said, and message her when I‘m done. I did.

This article is very interesting and true to every word. We humans don’t really understand how much our Heavenly Father loves us, Cares, and wants the best for us each day of our lives; also, the reality of living and wasting all these years and not Including God in our daily routines, or working for him, is a shame on our part. I believe in life after death, the judgement of all we do, and the consequences of our actions. I want to follow the path of God from today, and I fully surrender all for him to take charge and lead me alone the way. Thank you Jesus!

  100. For me, full surrender is our absolute demonstration of complete faith in God. Lending our total self to God shows our complete trust in Him and when our faith and trust is complete in Him, we can exercise our Kingdom right without doubt. Full surrender to God is a necessity for us to express the privileges or right of our master without fear or reservation. You cannot confidently speak in the name of a master that you are not absolutely loyal to. Anyone who try to do by pretending, will not be taken seriously.

I thank our Master Jesus Christ for the life and wisdom given to the author to come up with all these wonderful articles.

More power to your ministry in Jesus Name. Amen

  101. I am so happy I came across this message and I believe it was divinely ordained I am a 48years old mother and I am divorced My mother is also divorced and my sister too So I know there is a demonic generational curse at work But today I have decided to completely surrender all to God and I believe He will steer me in the right path as I continue to abide in Him alone leaning not on my own understanding desires and will anymore God bless you

  102. Thank you for this teaching on fully surrendering and submitting my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I realize that I have not fully understood what the Lordship of Jesus means in all creation and in Heaven and why He alone is worthy of Lordship. I am so very grateful that I can now see Jesus Christ as LORD of all and most especially why I must bow, submit my will and my life and serve and follow His leading and His example ( If you love me you will obey my commandments ). It is with reverent and humble fear and trembling that I pray this prayer knowing that it is for all eternity! I also rejoice that the veil is truly removed and I can see Jesus the Christ, The Lord for who He really is;
Son of God, Son of Man,
    Lamb of God, Saviour,
Messiah, Redeemer, Lord of Hosts of Heaven,
Lord of Lords, King of Kings.
Our Father who art in Heaven, Holy is your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven – For yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen

  103. Following your teachings has brought a clear sense of understanding in my spiritual life. It’s my desire that from today I fully surrender so as to do the will of God. I surrender every aspect of my life to you God and agree to be led by your Holy spirit from today henceforth. I got married while in form 3 and my marriage has been full of fights, adultery because I chose to climb the marriage mountain by myself. From today God, I pray that take over.Amen

  104. I have a question, as I am a bit confused. In my life I have made my own choices, and lived for myself, which has led to nothing good. Now I want to fully surrender my life to God, and follow His path and will for me. So, in following His will, does that mean I should take action and hope I am doing His will? Or, do I pray for God to show me His will, and sort of wait for something to sort of “fall into my lap”? I hope I am making sense. I guess what I am asking is do I take action, or not? I kind of feel like if I take action, I might be making the wrong choice. And if I just pray and wait for something to appear, I might be waiting forever. I can’t seem to figure out if following God’s will means taking action, or not. And if I take action, how do I know if what I am doing is God’s will for me? I hope somebody can help.

    1. That’s a good question, for I am thinking about this as well. One of the big concepts I took from this is that we ask God for his advice. That we shouldn’t make any life altering decisions without His blessing and guidance. In prayer God told me He wanted me to trust Him just like a blind man being led by His guide. That means we have to be that close and holding on to our guide throughout this life.

    2. From this article and many other researches and my experiences, here are the steps..
Go into prayer and fasting. tell God everything you said, and that you want to surrender your entire life to him. meditate day and night on verses that apply to your requests. Tell him to give you the spirit of counsel and revelation on what steps to take in life. Continue to make these requests till He answers you because He definitely will. Read the section of how the holy spirit talks to us— through vision, dreams, etc. Ask him to guide you. Read the section of how to get our prayers answered. Worship him daily, Approach the throne of grace… quote his words to him and make your requests known. He will talk to you..
Never in my widest imagination could I know that I can hear God’s voice whisper to my ears after weeks of praying and fasting. I was scared. He is real. Jesus also appeared to me three times at the right hand of the altars in 3 different churches in 2019 and I beheld his glory. Note that I do fast a lot, like 3 days straight for years… Our God is real. Depending on how desperate you need his guidance, how long you want to pray…. just never give up till you hear from him. Praying in tongues for hours also works….My husband see answers from dreams just by praying within minutes or by my praying while he slept.. It takes forever with praying and fasting for me, but he answers me by deepest visions… so master the ways that he will be communicating with you. It is supernatural. You might have to invest time, a lot of scriptures, praise and worship and fasting or not. He makes the call, you just never give up and expect him to communicate back.
He will reveal the deepest things to you.

    3. Here is what I understand we should do. We each are faced with decisions everyday. The Lord wants us to follow him, and surrender our lives to him but he doesn’t expect us to not have a will/mind of our own, otherwise we would be slothful servants. When we face decisions we need to do our research, make a decision and before acting on that decision we need to take it to the Lord in prayer. That could mean a short prayer or a week of prayers but we must go to Him with the attitude of Thy will be done.
If we receive enlightenment and peace in our minds then our decision is a good one. If we don’t and we come away with a stupor of thought then we must go back to the drawing board, so to speak, and look at our other options, study them out in our minds and then make the decision and then take it to the Lord in prayer.

    4. I am going to try to explain this to you as best as I can I have been living a surrendered life fully for three years now and I can tell you right now you need to wait until God tells you to move he says move you move if he says stay you stay you will know you just will know that you know it’s time to move I applied for this job and during the interview I got job I had to do some Internet stuff to get the job done but the Internet stuff never went through so I never got that job there was another job that came up in there really was no position but it opened up for me this position hasn’t been filled in years so I knew that God gave me this job trust me it is only minimum-wage I will give you just a little bit of my testimony in a few short sentence I went through a terrible divorce and it was so bad that I wanted to take my own life yes I wanted to commit suicide but God stepped in I surrendered my life that day and after that I was homeless for a year I lived in my truck for six months and the next six months I lived at Salvation Army are used to be a shame to say this But I am not anymore there is much more testimony than what I’m telling you but I’m giving you the just of it God protected me God provided for me all of these things are part of my purpose I now know this I know why I was homeless I know all these things I just know that I know God has given me a couple visions one of them I don’t know the meaning of it just yet I asked God what it meant and he told me not yet And the main thing now I have to learn how to recognize the Holy Spirit and have an intimate relationship with him I have been reading all of these articles several times to get it through my thick skull and understand when you fully surrender what God works on is your mind and then he works on the fruits of the spirit just trust me on this he is telling you the truth I am leaving it but don’t do anything unless God tells you to if you try to do it on your own you were not live in a full surrendered life God bless and I hope this can help you if not my name is Cyndi Hawkins you can send me a message in messenger but tell me where you’re from and I will help you and explain more when I mean tell me you were from bibleknowledge.com thanks God bless

  105. Goodmorning. I just discovered this site yesterday while I was looking for the meaning of pleading the blood of Jesus & I can’t stop reading the articles one after the other. I think my mind & dream are under attack no matter how much I pray. I’ll use the information you shared and email you to let you know how it goes. Thank you sharing what you know. Please pray for me.

  106. Thank you for your wisdom in God’s words and obedience to His calling for your life. As I prayed and fast to be on this path, I was lead to finding this site a few days ago, and with this writing you have truly brought me to the full surrender of God. Amen.

  107. I so much thank God and for the obedience of the person who put this article together. I thought I was doomed and had no more chances as I continually went back down the same dark road to numb my pain from what others did to me and mostly of the poor choices I made of my own–the constant disobedience even after repenting of committing the same sin over and over again. I genuinely wanted to do better. This article has given me hope again and to get back up and not give up. I have said the surrender prayers and have chosen to fully rely on God. No bad habit no man no ideas from others who mean well can take away this pain or bring total deliverance now that I’ve made the decision to be totally committed to do God’s will—in the way that God and only God can do. With God ALL things are possible.

  108. In one word, fascinating. I had been looking for this, but didnt find it anywhere as clearly explained as here. I have spoken the prayers. I dont quite understand the fact, that He wants our bodies too. I immediately feel pressure for complete surrender there as I do running. Will I have to surrender a healthy lifestyle. I notice I am doubting here. What for God already knows all and will lead me. Thx so much, may He bless you for this news.

  109. I am so very pleased to have found this article. I have been seeking answers on how to give my life to God. I am very stuck on the HOW. I will be reading, and re-reading this until my understanding is full. Thank you so very much. I feel blessed.

  110. I started searching for articles on this, I kept seeing shops online, I was about to give up, already saying that the body of Christ is missing it till I found this. Thanks for allowing God use you to do this.

    Shalom!

  111. WOW! Fantastic information. I have learned so much by reading this. It gave me all the answers I was looking for. I will use this information to game for the rest of my life. May you be rewarded in Heaven greatly for your hard work in sharing this. God Bless!

  112. Thank you so much for putting this together.

Glory to God. I have learned alot. My eyes opened, my understanding increased. I believe The Lord through The Holy Spirit led me here. I already feel like a new person. Super super grateful. Planning to share with as many as the Lord wants.

  113. Thank you for this powerful article on the Full Surrender! I have been writing out these verses and repenting and praying through them from early this morning until now (5:30 pm)! 46 pages! The timing was exactly right because I just discovered I’ve been living a life of self-gratification for many years and I wasn’t sure where to go from here. I found your article (God’s gift, so thank you) and by the time I completed it, I was able to pray the Full Surrender prayer today, and have already watched God give me 2 things to do that I would not have thought of before. The lies I’ve lived, the heartache and pain I’ve caused, are devastating. Repentance is powerful. And so is God’s gift of forgiveness and cleansing. (I John 1:9) He loves us and wants us free. Now I desire to have a fresh start. I have peace knowing that God is in charge, not me. Please continue writing and sharing the Word. This was so easy to follow. God bless you.

  114. Thank You so much. I want God to run my life by his choice and not mine or anyone elses. I Love him so much but I just fell so much into doing everything the way I wanted but now I want God to completly take control over me for good in the name of Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for us in his own Blood. This really helped me out and I will do it. Thank You. Timothy J. Campbell

  115. @Renee,

Thanks for your encouragement and comment. What about those older than the age of 50 and lonely and poor with everything haywire? Does full surrender to God still work miracle? What is your opinion and experience?
